there but I'm gonna start first I think I'm gonna airbrush the whole thing with black dry brush or Grace oh my Leathers are done so that's boots belts and stuff

like that and then I'm going to get on the route maybe a rogue Trader say like Janice Drake something along those lines

um and yeah we'll see how it goes color wise I've got an idea I might not go too full on yeah this Drake I might move a

bit so I might even go eventually nobleesque but I'm definitely gonna paint that little teddy bear puppy thing with a Shrek there's no doubt about it

and the straps pick those out in black with a wash as well and then I think I might dry brush that fair pick out his skin maybe do that thing on

something that on him obviously pick his beard out as well although I'm getting bit and be looking at the guy so yeah I'm gonna crack on

I think I could get stuck down a rabbit hole of just coloring in models yes because there's plenty of computer games out there where I like customized yeah

some fine motor skills there yeah I mean they didn't paint those in 45 minutes did they we don't know they found out

absolutely loved about doing that was you know it is comparable to painting a

real miniature um like I put my base colors on I washed it I went to town with a dry brush and I

had you know a painted miniature um pretty quick and then and then I

think you know probably to the detriment of the model I probably should have just made a cup of tea um went around adding embellishments oh

well here we are Pat here is mine uh a little bit based on jaina's Drake or

Jana strake from uh kill team but I'm not killed in Blackstone Fortress I like Blackstone pool just I think I sold out

a bit because I went down the easy route a little bit of Simplicity here and there got a bit of blue jacket got a bit of

ventrillion vibe there with some white trousers oh yes as you can see some tiger stripes on the uh on the fur there

I did try this gun to do that like heat effect and I failed miserably I mean it

kind of like black to purple to kind of orange it just it just looks a big man

I can I can testify painting the end of that gun painting anything

around was was difficult at least that it made mine look like a cow's order that's all I'm saying

yeah I mean I went down my for this if we're like gonna Bridge it went down the route of the sort of army painting

technique which was to yep do it all over dry brush doing all over wash a bit more of a dry brush so that was like all

the black leather kind of covered and then I started like filling in and obviously with moonbreaker there are

sections you don't realize maybe the same color when you you like mask off an

area so you can might like say his trousers your mask off as trousers you paint those all wide yeah sometimes with the leather bits you go I'm gonna do all

the leather bits paint those all black and then there's something else oh I was not expected had to go yet you can see I went down the dirty green got muddy boom

got mud now here is the thing I mean obviously we mentioned this when I do it is the more you zoom out the tool gets

smaller so the tool stays the same size yeah when you zoom in obviously you get smaller

but the smaller they set when you do the stipple means the smaller the spots the bigger the effect I just thought it just

means it will cover it more but it doesn't it makes their spots bigger so I had to make the uh the effects the the

tool itself much much smaller yeah to get like lots of splatters I think that's worked really nicely like you've

got a legit fade from being like super mud all the way up to a little bit up to

the black at the top so I think as as far as that goes that's that's brilliant like the Leathers work really really

this was just that you look at the one they've painted themselves and they've gone so to turn with it it's really well

and the only thing I found really tricky and it threw me I wasn't expecting and you you obviously were expecting this

because you watched me first was when I did his hair and his skin the beard was the same mask as the skin yes so I had

to hear a pain that I was sadly so I kind of like this phone I'll just fill in a bit of area great and then I'll just dry brush over the whole face with

the same color yeah I hope Titan I mean that you you did that really really well I'm

looking at this close-up of his face now I don't think I painted his teeth

um I'm quite I'm quite eager to see what color what color teeth are in his eye I

gave him some eyeliner give him a little bit of pretty eyeliner yeah so it's called guy liner guy like I think it was

a guy liner the only eyebrows you've got a cool glowy yeah get big blow he's got

somebody's shoulder paddling gold for the shoulder pads there's I I did pick out his his lips a bit as well when it

went in with his lips yeah again having that palette just mixing a bit of red to a bit of fleshes and stuff as well just

really cool yeah it's awesome like like I think you you're right like you you played it

safe I did play it very safe because you played unsafe but it's like it's really clean

um and and the colors work really well together um so like I think all of the practice

that you've had doing this in real life and being an artist um like even though even though I've

tried to level the playing field by you know the tech the the painting techniques we have using this uh uh

identical um you know your your skill unfortunately is the case may be for me

um still comes through I think this this Tiger Strike fur was a ball that was a ball move if you do it you I

I was watching you do that and I was like and you know the final driver ties it

together yeah yeah yeah that's it I mean I mean we need to talk about my uh belt buckle yet

I like your phone before I like to get give like Vibes of like uh Rock from the

seaside um but if you go back to the cloak oh no the thing I'd do naturally for my own

painting is I would paint the cloak probably give it a wash and a dry brush and then I'd get like a flat sort of contrast or paint really thin it down so

in this case I'd probably use like black Legion yeah um thin it down and do the tiger straps because it's going to do

all the shading and highlighting for you and then maybe a little dry brush over the whole lot to tie it all together

because the dry brush over both the the black tiger stripes or as it is there like a dark blue and over the third

helped tie together is the same texture so yeah same material so that's just following the process I mean it could be

neater we could argue about that with guns a good metal try to get silver yeah that's just not look at that what's

that what's that adults blood out of place I mean I've seen some of my videos back mate and I keep finding like bits

of like green on like the necrons and stuff so it's just my signature just to leave a bit of paint that's that's there

think your color placement is a little bit better because that red and green helps break up the shape a bit more my

blue makes it a bit of a shapeless Mass around his top but you're you're red and green so you're you're red fur cloak and

your green armor actually work quite well together I mean yeah you could argue that you read tunics are same as

um knowing what I was getting myself into um I you know I don't know what colors

beer from there until they were um that I I had to go with the stippling

because um like the the armor that he's wearing his super old it's it's been in a acidic

pit for God knows how long yeah yeah Sandy Planet so the yellow was totally

worn off and I had to go with the stippling brush and um I think I'll be the first to say

completely blocked it um I like I like the effect I I think it feels all over maybe yeah yeah maybe I

just didn't didn't go far enough yeah uh because I was thinking like yeah this was like when I was running out of time

stage where I was like hey I could leave it like this and I'd be all right with it and yeah like I say I I put the tattoo on it

um and I went to the to the default scheme and I was like oh look they've got um he's put some like Hazard stripes

on this on his leather there I wonder if I can control it I mean if you're inspired you'd give it

a good go I mean we haven't focused on the PS2 resistance which is the belt

buckle though we were but my favorite element of this model entirely and I like how you overly

washed it to the point where you can't see the detail anymore well well I mean yeah because I hated it so much it it

was like you know I had like quite a heavily washed like grimy model which to

be fair fit the um yeah fit the inspiration um but yeah this

um it it just like he would it just looked like he was wearing a suite yeah because I mean I just want to delve a

little bit deeper as to what was your inspiration behind the belt buckles then exactly um uh he was wearing a belt buckle that

was white and it had two red stripes on and and I was like right mine's round

um what can I do so I accidentally made a sin George's cross yeah yeah and then

I was like well I don't I don't want him to wear a St George's cross um so I'll I'll do something else

instead so put some blue in there um and it looked awful so then as as

everybody knows and has seen at this stage um I uh I I asked for some help and you

said wash it and dry brush it so I washed it until you could barely see it anymore and then I dry brushed it until

you really couldn't barely see it anymore and the result you know is a bit more fitting yeah with the model well we

we all know uh that uh space Sheriff Timothy that belt buckle is representative of being a marshall of

the Republic so this is your version of a marshall Children of the public is of course yeah that's yeah

that I think we should yeah that I've just noticed you're it's just a black mess around that belt buckles

and and the paint of the belt buckle goes over the top oh and then and then I

realized um I gave him blue trousers and I realized that I should have given him like a dark green trouser so I like I

so you can see in all of the recesses it's just all green and then if you go

around to the back of his leg I mean I can't see the moral holographic

because at the end of my video I forgot to actually wash and highlight my trousers so they're just flat white
