This is not a sudden pivot into home-cinema influencer life — I haven’t abandoned 3D printers or forgotten the smell of resin — but every now and then the universe hands you something wild. In this case, a £2,000 triple-laser RGB 4K projector, the Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2. So I lived with it, tested it properly, used it in real life, mounted it indoors, took it outdoors, and even ran a full Halloween garden cinema on it. This video is the full experience: what it’s like to actually own and use a premium laser projector when you’re used to printers, lasers, smoke extractors and PLA spaghetti.
The VisionMaster Pro 2 is a triple-laser RGB ultra-bright home projector with real 4K resolution, HDR support, 40–300” projection range, smart auto-keystone, auto-focus, Google TV built in, low-latency gaming modes, and high refresh rate support up to 120/240Hz at 1080p. No spec sheets here — just what that means in real use: sharp text, crisp film detail, usable brightness in real rooms, zero Vaseline-blur subtitles, and gaming that feels like a proper TV instead of a mushy lagfest.
If you’re searching for VisionMaster Pro 2 reviews, Valerion projector tests, best triple-laser projector 2025, RGB laser 4K projector demo, gaming on a projector low-lag, or outdoor projector setup, this covers all of it. You’ll see real footage, real indoor and outdoor usage, and the bits people never mention — like chrome reflections, ceiling mounting, tripod setups, screen choices, and how it actually behaves when you move it around.
I also test the projector with Valerion’s outdoor camping screen, a (failed) Amazon retractable screen, and Valerion’s ceiling mount and walnut-leg tripod. Proper hands-on, proper honesty.
And because Halloween is basically my Superbowl, I used this thing to run a full outdoor cinema for the neighbourhood — powered entirely by the Aiferiy P210 portable power station. If you’re wondering whether a projector like this can run off portable power, or how long it lasts, it’s all in here.
If you’re trying to understand whether you should buy a laser projector instead of a TV, whether a triple-laser system is worth it, how bright it actually gets in daylight, or if the VisionMaster Pro 2 is good for gaming, films and outdoor use — this video gives you the full lived-in reality. No nonsense, no cinema-snob jargon, just what it’s like for normal humans who like giant screens.
This is the Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2 — the triple-laser RGB projector that turned my living room into a cinema and my driveway into a Halloween concert.

I need to get ahead of this before
0:01
anyone judges me. I know this looks like
0:04
I've suddenly pivoted into home cinema
0:06
influencer land. I haven't. I still
0:08
smell like resin half the time and I've
0:10
still got PLA support scars under my
0:12
nails. But every now and then, the
0:14
universe hands you something you didn't
0:16
ask for and suddenly you're sat in your
0:18
living room watching movies on a wall
0:19
big enough to see Darth Vader's
0:21
childhood trauma in his paws. This is
0:24
not my usual wheelhouse. I review
0:26
printers, lasers, stuff that makes fumes
0:28
and noise and eats away my desk space.
0:31
And somehow I've ended up with a two
0:32
grand luxury triple laser RGB projector.
0:36
I don't even have a sofa fancy enough to
0:38
match this thing. But I've lived with
0:40
it. I've used it in real life. And I'm
0:42
going to tell you what it's like
0:43
properly because if you're like me, the
0:45
closest thing you get to a cinema lately
0:48
is leaning forward at your monitor like
0:49
a gremlin. So stick around. This one's
0:52
going to be fun. Hi, I'm Ross and this
0:54
is Fammer Videos. Now, I don't do the
0:57
let's talk about the specs on this
0:58
channel. I don't see the point. You can
1:00
read the website yourself. Specs are
1:02
nice for nerd arguments and
1:04
manufacturers love them because they can
1:06
look clever. I care about what it's like
1:09
to actually live with a thing, use a
1:11
thing, because you can show me all the
1:12
charts and acronyms in the world. But if
1:14
something's loud, if it crashes, if it
1:16
feels like filing a tax return in the
1:18
dark, I'm not interested and I'll tell
1:21
you as much. But with this one, and
1:23
especially for the sake of my usual
1:24
audience, I need to explain how this
1:26
happened because I feel like a lucky
1:29
idiot. But it also gives you a bit of an
1:30
insight as to how YouTube collaborations
1:33
work. You see, I've got to the point
1:35
now, and yes, I am graciously lucky to
1:38
be here, but product review offers in my
1:40
inbox and now like pigeons in a city.
1:42
There are dozens of them, and the
1:44
majority are unwelcome. I've had three
1:46
this morning before I've even finished
1:48
my coffee. Half are utter nonsense. Some
1:51
are clear fishing scams dressed up as
1:53
dear respectful influencer sir, we've
1:55
watched and love your content. And I get
1:57
all that before the brand being shocked
1:59
when I give them brutally honest
2:01
reviews. So my usual approach now is I
2:04
just skim the email, see if there's
2:06
anything wild in there, and if it
2:08
doesn't immediately scream scam, I paste
2:10
the gist into chat GPT and have it write
2:13
a polite reply that says, "Yeah, all
2:15
right, show me more." And as you know,
2:17
lately I've been deep in laser content.
2:19
Real lasers, you know, burn holes in
2:21
stuff lasers. So when I skinned this
2:23
email and saw the word laser, my brain
2:25
went into autopilot and I thought, "Hey,
2:28
another engraver to set fire to
2:29
cardboard with." And it wasn't until
2:31
about the third or fifth email. That I
2:33
looked again and thought, "Hang on, I've
2:35
misunderstood something here. This isn't
2:37
a laser cutter. This is a laser
2:39
projector, as in cinema. Big, very
2:42
shiny, probably not designed to engrave
2:44
plywood." Spoiler, it can't. So yeah,
2:47
when I realized they were serious and
2:49
they were offering me essentially a two
2:51
grand cinema experience in exchange for
2:53
making a video, my brain did some maths
2:55
and well, look, if somebody at your job
2:57
said, "Give us 20 hours of overtime over
2:59
the next few weeks and we'll hand you a
3:01
cinema for your house." You'd say yes.
3:04
Don't pretend you wouldn't. And if you
3:06
know me, you know I love films. I love
3:08
games. Let's be fair, I've been quite
3:10
open about being a nerd who regularly
3:12
escapes into fantasy worlds because the
3:15
real world is loud and full of bills and
3:18
general adulting. This felt like the
3:20
universe giving me a treat. And that
3:22
said, look, I've kept up my end of the
3:24
bargain for you guys and I think then
3:26
some. I've delivered at least one solid
3:28
video a week for the last 3 years and
3:31
this one is basically a bonus for me. So
3:34
yeah, I'm asking you a favor. Watch this
3:37
one for me, please. I'll add some jokes,
3:39
maybe a bit of dancing if things get
3:40
desperate. Let's have a bit of fun with
3:42
it. So, this thing is the Valyrian
3:45
Vision Master Pro. And yes, with a name
3:47
like that, it sounds like it belongs in
3:49
the world of Westeros. But anyway, on
3:51
paper, this thing sounds fancy. 40 to
3:54
300 in projection, triple laser light
3:56
engine, native 4K, HDR support, low
3:59
latency gaming modes, and proper high
4:02
brightness. Cool. Big important sounding
4:05
words. Look, the important bit is what
4:08
this actually does for you. The triple
4:10
laser system and real 4K means the
4:12
picture isn't soft and washed out like
4:14
cheaper projectors. Colors look
4:16
accurate. Text and hoods in games are
4:18
razor clear. Subtitles don't look like
4:20
someone smeared Vaseline over them. And
4:23
dark scenes still show detail instead of
4:25
becoming one big gray blob. The
4:27
brightness is high enough that you don't
4:29
need a pitch black room to enjoy it. And
4:31
the HDR means bright moments actually
4:33
pop to the point of a slight twinge of
4:36
ooh in your retinas as they should. And
4:39
if you're into gaming or streaming
4:40
content, this is where it pulls ahead of
4:42
most other projectors. The low input lag
4:44
and high refresh rates mean it feels
4:46
like a proper TV for console and PC
4:48
gaming. fast, responsive, not mushy, and
4:51
the built-in Wi-Fi 6 plus Bluetooth
4:54
means you can stream games from your PC,
4:56
PS5, or GeForce Now, and pair a
4:59
controller straight to the projector
5:01
without running extra cables or dongles
5:03
everywhere. Basically, it gives you a
5:05
huge screen experience that you can use
5:07
for films, everyday streaming, and
5:10
proper gaming without having to
5:11
compromise or build a spaghetti wiring
5:13
nightmare to make it all work. More
5:15
importantly, it feels premium. Properly
5:18
premium. Last week, I unboxed a laser
5:20
engraver that cost double the price of
5:22
this and that came wrapped in foam that
5:24
smelled like sadness and factory glue.
5:26
This arrived like a MacBook crossed with
5:28
a sci-fi prop. Thick, dense, expensive
5:31
cards, soft touch surfaces. Even the way
5:34
the phone lid lifts, feels engineered.
5:37
You touch it and your brain goes, "Ooh,
5:39
these guys actually care." Now, the
5:41
projector itself looks gorgeous, too.
5:43
However, I always like to have a little
5:45
bit of a gripe about something. It does
5:48
have shiny chrome bits. Now, they look
5:49
incredible on a shelf, genuinely classy,
5:52
like something from a future IKEA that's
5:54
not depressing. But if you put this
5:56
projector in front of you while watching
5:58
something, those chrome accents love to
6:01
reflect the screen back at you, like
6:02
tiny disco balls. Now, this is only a
6:05
thing if you front mount it, but I've
6:07
since ceiling mounted mine, and the
6:09
problems obviously vanished. Now, ports
6:12
wise, everything's neatly tucked behind
6:13
a flip- down flap on the back. power,
6:16
optical audio, USB 3, USB 2, three HDMI
6:20
ports with one doing E A, a 3.5
6:23
millimeter jack, gigabit Ethernet, and
6:25
the power button sits on the right. Very
6:27
clean, very tidy, and even the remote's
6:30
cool, too. It partially lights up, has
6:32
navigation buttons right in the center.
6:34
Everything on this is built around the
6:36
Google TV OS, but you do have some handy
6:39
quick access buttons for user accounts,
6:42
settings, back, home, along with a few
6:44
popular streaming services. There's also
6:46
a Google Assistant button to activate
6:48
the mic on the remote. And the projector
6:50
itself has a switch on top, and that
6:52
kills the unit's built-in mic if you
6:54
don't want your gadgets listening to
6:56
your arguments about takeaway menus,
6:58
which I believe is a requirement for
7:00
anything that's got Google Home built
7:01
in. It's got rubber adjustable feet on
7:03
the bottom at the back and a flip down
7:05
front stand. And this has nice solid
7:08
movement. You've got to push it with
7:10
intent, which is good because this thing
7:12
isn't light. You don't want it suddenly
7:14
deciding to face palm midmov night. And
7:17
as I mentioned earlier, the Bluetooth is
7:18
solid. I connected up a Dual Sense
7:20
controller directly to it. And I
7:22
streamed games via GeForce Now and PS
7:24
Remote Play. It worked, but like any
7:27
remote play, I wouldn't play competitive
7:29
Twitch shooters on this without wiring
7:31
in directly and using gaming mode. But
7:34
for single player sofa gaming, this is
7:36
literally what I dreamed about as a
7:38
child. And yeah, this supports gaming
7:40
modes with 120 or 240 Hz refresh rates,
7:44
but to get that, you do need to drop the
7:46
resolution to 1080p. And I need to say
7:48
the audio is solid, too. Now, saying
7:50
that with the caveat of I'm no audio
7:52
file. I just don't have the ear for the
7:55
nuance. But what I can tell is that even
7:57
with this mounted directly above my
7:59
head, the sound sounds like it's coming
8:02
from the projector screen in front of
8:04
me. I don't get it. I don't get how it
8:06
works, but it's very clear on its own
8:08
without a home cinema system connected.
8:10
And when used outdoors, this is plenty
8:13
loud enough for a decently small
8:14
gathering to hear clearly. And the
8:16
screen setup process is where this gets
8:18
a gold star. It's packed with sensors,
8:20
so the moment you move it while it's on,
8:23
it knows it's been moved, so it checks
8:25
alignment and refocuses. It projects,
8:28
measures keystones, and adjusts like a
8:30
tiny invisible projection butler. And if
8:32
the auto pass isn't perfect, as it
8:35
hasn't always been perfect for me
8:36
sometimes cuz I've been at weird angles.
8:39
Once it does that, it automatically asks
8:41
you if you want to tweak it. Just tap
8:43
yes. You do a little dance with the
8:45
arrows. Done. And before setup, if you
8:48
want to know how far it needs to be, the
8:49
manual, which you can access via the
8:51
website, also gives you minimum and
8:53
maximum throw distances clearly,
8:56
something I appreciated because my brain
8:57
melts when math enters home cinema
8:59
territory. Now, speaking of projecting
9:01
on screens, Valyan also sent over their
9:04
outdoor camping screen, and that was my
9:06
request. Now, one thing worth noting
9:08
with Valyrian is that their screens,
9:10
according to various things I've seen
9:12
online, are apparently incredible
9:14
quality, and they should be for the
9:16
price, but the smallest indoor one they
9:18
sell is 100 in. And I don't know about
9:21
you, I live in a standard UK home and
9:23
just don't have the space for that. And
9:25
I also needed it to be a retractable
9:27
screen for the office anyway. And the
9:29
smallest they do in that style is 120
9:31
in. Again, way too big for my room. So,
9:34
the outdoor screen was my only realistic
9:36
option. And as you'll see shortly, I am
9:38
in the market for a decent retracting
9:40
screen. So, if you know of a good one,
9:42
please pop that in the comments. You'll
9:44
see why in a minute. Now, when it came
9:46
to this outdoor one, I picked the 120in
9:48
version because, well, I figured it was
9:50
more relatable for normal budget
9:52
conscious humans rather than just I want
9:55
the biggest because honestly, I already
9:57
felt a bit greedy considering, let's be
10:00
honest, this video is more about me
10:01
getting a projector. But hey, as I said,
10:03
at least I'm being straight with you
10:05
about it. And who knows, you might watch
10:07
this and go, "Yeah, that's the one I
10:09
want." Anyway, honestly, they'd have
10:10
sent whatever size or type I'd have
10:12
asked for. They genuinely weren't
10:14
precious about it. But I've got to say,
10:16
this outdoor screen is fantastic. I wish
10:19
I'd asked for the bigger one. It's
10:21
lightweight. It comes in its own carry
10:23
and storage bag, and it folds down
10:25
easily. The first time putting the
10:26
screen material on it was a bit of a
10:28
workout because you've got to stretch it
10:30
to get the press studs to lock. and I
10:32
did swear at it once or twice, but the
10:34
second time I put it together, it was
10:36
much easier. This is a great outdoor
10:39
option. Now, for indoors, I tried being
10:42
clever and bought a cheap retractable
10:43
screen off Amazon, which was a 90-in
10:46
display by Von House or Von Hulse.
10:49
Yeah. Anyway, I should have read the
10:52
reviews clearer. I did manage to mount
10:54
it to the ceiling on my own after a bit
10:56
of FAF, but then straight away realized
10:58
the retract mechanism just doesn't work.
11:01
like at all. And judging by the reviews
11:03
I've now read, this is very much a
11:05
theme. So yeah, learn from me. Sometimes
11:08
saving money can cost money in the long
11:10
run. Thankfully with Amazon, I can just
11:13
send it back. But at the same time, I
11:15
also bought Valyrian ceiling mount with
11:17
my own money because I didn't want to be
11:18
cheeky and ask them for more free stuff.
11:20
And this thing is absolutely premium
11:24
just like the projector. Really easy to
11:26
install. And I'm lucky because I've got
11:28
plyboard behind my ceiling. And I'm
11:30
mentioning that before you comment how
11:31
unsafe this is. I'm not just relying on
11:34
plaster board and prayers. But if you
11:36
have plaster board, they do give you
11:37
solid plaster board fixings in the box.
11:40
Now for outdoors, they sent me their
11:41
tripod. Again, super premium vibes.
11:44
Lightweight walnut legs, anodized
11:46
aluminium body, and a proper quick
11:48
release head that, like with the ceiling
11:50
mount connector, just screws into the
11:52
bottom of the projector. Really nice bit
11:54
of kit, and it makes moving the
11:56
projector around genuinely convenient.
11:58
Now, all of this together has given me a
12:00
really versatile viewing setup. We've
12:03
had proper family cinema nights in the
12:05
garden and then coming back to my
12:07
original plan that I'd sort of agreed
12:08
with the brand but then ran out of time
12:10
to deliver Halloween. Except instead of
12:13
doing the original plan, which was 3D
12:15
printing mannequin heads and then having
12:17
like zombie faces projected onto them, I
12:20
just chuck the projector screen out
12:21
front and played Nightmare Before
12:23
Christmas songs as the kids came around.
12:25
And before Valyan complained that I
12:27
didn't integrate 3D printing in this
12:29
video like we planned to. Well, I was
12:32
handing out loads of 3D printed
12:33
gribblies during Halloween. So,
12:35
technically I did. We kept it on brand.
12:38
But look, seriously, this alone was a
12:41
real head turner for Halloween night.
12:43
Our estate gets super into it. And it
12:45
wasn't long before I had crowds of kids
12:48
boopping along to Michael Jackson's
12:49
Thriller and parents offering their
12:52
thanks and saying, "This is cool." And
12:54
even during the quieter downtime without
12:56
the little ones around, I just resorted
12:59
to playing the most horroresque metal
13:00
songs that I could find and enjoying the
13:03
likes of Slipnot and Rob Zombie on my
13:05
driveway. I told you we'd get to dancing
13:07
when I got desperate. Anyway, honestly,
13:09
this probably shows off the projector
13:11
better. Anyway, it's not some weird
13:13
gimmick video. It's just normal life
13:15
fun. Nobody's buying a 2K projector just
13:18
to do a Halloween stunt. And if you are,
13:21
then you're clearly making very
13:22
different life choices to the rest of
13:24
us, and you're probably not watching
13:26
this channel anyway. Now, one last thing
13:28
I want to shout out about before I wrap
13:30
up is something that made this whole
13:32
event and garden setup easier is the A4,
13:35
I don't know how to pronounce it, P210
13:38
portable power station. I've actually
13:40
been testing this recently and I've used
13:42
it to power the projector for all of
13:43
Halloween night. Just sat in the back of
13:45
my car, cable out the window, job done.
13:48
It ran the projector for hours and still
13:50
had over half the battery left. Super
13:53
handy. Now, I actually accepted this as
13:55
a collaboration because I wanted to try
13:57
it as a UPS for my 3D printers,
14:00
something many people have asked me to
14:02
do content on, and it's been so spot on
14:04
for that, too. So, you will see it
14:06
popping up more in future printer videos
14:08
as I run it with different machines. And
14:11
yeah, there'll also be a link to it down
14:12
in the comments because if I'm using a
14:15
thing and it works and I can promote it,
14:17
I'm going to share it. Affiliate links.
14:19
That's how I run the channel. Again,
14:21
being honest with you about it, guys.
14:22
And also on that, I wasn't paid to
14:24
promote this projector. Yes, I got it
14:26
free, but there's nothing in any
14:28
contract anywhere that says I can only
14:30
be positive about it. They just sent it
14:32
me and went, "Here, do a video on this."
14:34
I went, "Cool. Free projector. We'll
14:37
do." But yeah, that's the deal. As
14:39
always, I just want to be straight with
14:40
you about what this is. I get the thing.
14:42
I'll tell you what I think about it. So,
14:44
anyway, coming back to it, end of the
14:46
day, I think this is an incredible
14:48
projector in my limited experience based
14:52
on usability alone. If you don't believe
14:54
me about whether it's a great one, then
14:56
go and look at some of the reviews
14:58
anywhere. They're all saying it's
15:00
amazing. Now, using this is basically
15:03
automated. The Google TV being built in
15:05
makes life so easy. Voice controls are
15:08
nice. Everything's streamlined. The
15:09
image quality looks amazing to my eyes,
15:12
but with the caveat that I don't have
15:14
the fancy gear to scientifically compare
15:16
pixel grids and color accuracy, so I'm
15:19
not going to pretend to. Also, it is a
15:21
projector. So, yes, a dark room means
15:23
much better results. If you want perfect
15:25
OLED blacks on a white screen in
15:28
daylight, that's just not how this tech
15:30
works. But when this thing hits a bright
15:32
white scene, my eyes actually flinch. It
15:36
is properly bright. But yeah, it's here.
15:38
This is what it is. I think it's great.
15:40
And now I'm going to spend some time
15:41
playing Cyberpunk like so many people
15:44
told me to in my Snapmaker video. I
15:46
guess if you're looking for a proper
15:48
projector, not a toy, not a Tik Tok
15:50
cinema hack, this is absolutely worth a
15:53
look. And honestly, I'm already past the
15:56
point of calling it a cinema-like
15:57
experience at home because this has been
16:00
better than going to my local showcase.
16:02
And with half the new films going
16:04
straight to streaming anyway, and the
16:06
prices of tickets and snacks for a
16:07
family of four being what they are, this
16:10
thing basically pays for itself in about
16:12
25 cinema trips. And that's before you
16:14
even factor in going through the back
16:16
catalog on streaming services or gaming
16:18
on a massive screen like a king. Or just
16:21
how flexible it is to use. Because I
16:24
think for me at least, that's a huge
16:26
part of the appeal. It's not like a TV
16:28
where it's rooted to one wall forever. I
16:30
can move this around the house, take it
16:32
outside, set up a garden cinema, plug in
16:34
a console in a different room, or take
16:36
it to a friend's place for an in-person
16:38
watch party. It gives you options, but
16:41
yes, it's still a projector, so as I've
16:43
said, darker environments will always
16:45
look better. And no, you're not going to
16:47
be watching films in direct sunlight. In
16:50
most cases, even indoors, you'll
16:52
probably want to close the blinds. But
16:54
when you give it the right conditions,
16:56
the experience is ridiculous in the best
16:58
possible way. If a projector is not on
17:01
your radar, no worries. Hopefully, this
17:02
was still a fun ride because I love
17:04
these little detours where we get to
17:06
geek out together about stuff outside of
17:08
our normal 3D printing bubble. So,
17:10
cheers for sticking with me back to 3D
17:12
printers and lasers next. This was a
17:14
lovely holiday from PLA Purgatory. I
17:17
want to say thanks for watching with a
17:18
huge thanks going to our members who are
17:20
on screen now. Please consider joining
17:22
them to get early access, exclusive
17:24
videos, your name in lights, and Discord
17:26
rolls. And until next time, as always, I
17:30
love you. Fammer out.
