Last week Pat & Geoff went to visit the Las Vegas Open. Whilst no gaming took place for us we had an awesome time visiting our first tournament and chatting to an amazing hobby community, are our views and thoughts on competitive Warhammer changed?! Thanks to @ArtisOpus @FauxHammer and ED! for taking us along.
The "erm, like, yeah" meter is off the charts this episode, hopefully with less jetlag that will improve!

this video is sponsored by Squarespace hello everyone and welcome to another episode I'm Jeff and I'm Patrick this is
0:08
Bella yeah hello that's you that's your name and uh We've fought off jet lag to
0:15
the point that we can finally put a coherent sentence together CU we're just back from Las Vegas open aren't we we
0:20
are indeed yeah what a wonderful time we had what a wonderful an extraordinarily
0:26
strange time I think we had it was very OD wasn't I so little bit of a backstory
0:34
our uh good friend Byron uh him who is uh one half of
0:42
element games and one half of arst hopus invited us out there to go and be uh the
0:47
ey candy at his uh at the Arta Super Store didn't he he went I don't care how
0:55
well you can sell just stand there look pretty yes pull the punters in yeah so
1:01
no one came over the uh the g strings were a bit much yeah once we put trousers on
1:08
business definitely improved I thought I I don't know if there's a
1:13
correlation between that I don't know but yeah so yeah uh I went you you went
1:19
g string trousers I went g string chaps that's still aress chaps that doesn't work and eventually gave in and put me
1:26
trousers on and things definitely improved oh God but um it was quite a
1:31
interesting time wasn't it yeah um yes it was the first thing I think I'd have
1:37
to say about it was the the customers ranged
1:44
from extraordinarily nice which was those that knew us which which you know
1:52
I'm getting a great honestly I'm grading it honestly like extraordinarily nice who the people that were really pleased to see us cuz they watched the channel
1:59
yeah and they were quite quite surprised that we were there yeah and then generally everybody else was really nice
2:06
and then even the people that were not that into what talk to us were still
2:12
very courteous I've never been called Sir so much no it was really weird
2:18
wasn't it in in my life I got to be honest I thought in the 40 or so Plus hours that we were
2:25
open over the three and a bit days I never had a single person go
2:32
through that stand who I thought oh he was hard work or she was hard work
2:38
everybody was at the very least Pleasant friendly and courteous I thought it was
2:44
a really the people were a really really nice experience I thought for oh yeah yeah it was amazing um yes yeah so yeah
2:52
we were uh working on the artist opena stand in the exhibition Hall um and
2:58
whilst the tournament was going on and yeah such such an incredible experience um like Byron had said like this is the
3:05
best part of the hobby like going to those massive events yeah um and yeah it
3:12
was really really good uh CU I think it's definitely easy to spend too much
3:17
time on the internet and yeah and and from the chats that that we've had recently like um like with uh chatting
3:26
about tournaments and is it is it ruining for 40K you know that's that's a title that we've used on a video yeah
3:33
yeah absolutely right um but going there seeing a room
3:39
with that had a thousand people playing yeah nearly a thousand people I got the
3:45
yeah yeah insane and everyone was so happy having such a wonderful time yeah
3:51
um and it's quite funny cu the people who were coming out uh cuz on the first
3:57
day with it was like a soft opening it was open for about 4 hours in the evening while people
4:02
registered and then sort of once they' registered they came around the they came around the uh the the stands of the
4:09
the retailers and and there was a lot of there was a
4:15
lot of Fast Business in the 4 hours that first day we were really quite frantic but then it sort of slowed down a little
4:22
bit and we mainly got waves of it in the as as people would finishing up their
4:27
their round in the tournament they would come in and and and you know and then obviously cuz there was lots of other
4:32
different games going on as well other than just 40K so we worked relatively constant but it it it sometimes came in
4:39
sort of waves but even when you talking to people and go how's it gone how you
4:44
know what have you play who have you just played what have you played what game you playing you know what army even
4:50
the people that have just been absolutely crushed yeah still came in and looked like they were having a really nice time yes it made me de it
4:58
really did make me slightly re-evaluate the tournament scene yeah where I thought a lot of people seem to be
5:04
having a laugh here yes no one came in and looked like they wanted to kick a table over no they might have wanted to
5:10
kick a table over at the tournament room they might have done for I know but um they seem to everyone seemed to
5:18
just be were in the spirit of it I think and um and you know the people
5:24
were lovely and also to be fair some of the other retailers that I spoke to were were really nice as well
5:30
I thought um yes we um were speaking to what they called War
5:36
scenery next door to us a lovely gentleman from German compatriots yeah from from Germany and they were really
5:43
lovely guys uh one of the chaps there Patrick is already a fan of the show which was really nice they were knocking
5:49
out some really lovely um Star Wars compatible scenery yes and and some of
5:55
that was painted really nice and they had like a traitor guard miniature range as well which was really lovely and some
6:02
very trying to think the best way put it very Star Wars adjacent Miniatures
6:07
didn't they for uh what looked like they were for Star Wars Legion and they were really lovely Lads um all the guys on
6:13
the GW stand were were great they were amazing they were really nice fell and I think that was
6:20
um yeah and again like too much time on the internet Games Workshop of this evil
6:26
monstrous company uh every single person at the event stand cuz we were opposite
6:32
GW um we had laugh with didn't we yeah um and it was brilliant yeah we really
6:38
did they were really lovely fellas um they were lovely fellas they were really generous with us as well um yeah we had
6:44
to gen we had a really nice time with the people that we were coming into contact with as yeah in in the uh in the
6:51
The Stand um I met two uh two guys that were really interesting two British guys
6:57
came in who had uh were therefore one of them was a 40K player and um was in
7:04
Vegas for the fact that his mate was there for a Jiu-Jitsu competition they'd
7:10
spent that morning throwing themselves out of planes cuz they were skydivers and they were a pair of X Special Forces
7:16
British guys yes and one of them the one that was the non 40K player turned out
7:21
to be from very close to where I'm from and supposed to the same football team and we had a we had a mutual hug of our
7:27
of our woes supporting a football team having a terrible time so it was really
7:33
interesting to meet them they were really cool um yeah it was um generally every sorts
7:40
of like half an hour or an hour you come into contact with somebody who was really really cool but it everybody was
7:48
generally pretty pretty nice Vegas itself though oh it's an
7:53
interesting place isn't it isn't it isn't it interesting place um I'll try and I got some clips so I'll maybe put
8:00
some over the top of it but yeah yeah we I mean I I don't think I've been on a flight that long before um yeah I have
8:08
to India but good God on the way out I felt every single second of that
8:14
flight every single second to me I quite often I like I'm I'm not a particularly
8:20
tall person as as people know um I think I think when I sit down I look normal
8:25
and when I stand up when I stand up it's like oh he's small um and I've only got little legs I've
8:33
never been I've never been so thankful to be travel sized um it's wonderful and
8:40
they're like oh would you like to upgrade for leg room no no just a quick break from the chat to talk about the
8:45
sponsor of this video Squarespace and I'm going to play with my standing desk
8:50
and try and maintain eye contact the entire time um oh my microphone oh no

10:33
off your first website or domain back to the chat no like I don't need it I don't
10:40
need it um but yeah the seat the seat was a little our our 7 I was like I'm
10:46
going to get some sleep because my ass hurts uh and I'm just going to sleep through the pain um I've never eaten so
10:53
much food oh good God I know I'm you know it's no shock to anybody that I'm somebody who can food away but I got off
11:01
the plane and I don't know if it was I think I said to the group as a jet as a whole but I was like I thought God I
11:07
thought I have literally in 10 hours 10 10 10 and a half hours I've at
11:13
more food on that plane that I would eat in 10 and a half hours on you know at my
11:20
job at home yeah even on a day off on a Sunday I thought how would consume that much food in 10 hours it was wonderful
11:26
it was honestly it was like yeah it was ridiculous but um loads of drinks as well loads of drinks I did I felt like I
11:33
just spent me me time on on the way out watching films and slaping G eating it
11:40
was just seem to be a constant thing but it did the flight out did did kill me I
11:45
was just like just it literally couldn't come quick enough which was a complete
11:50
difference to my flight home which I slept you know 10 odd hour flight and I think I slept probably eight hours of it
11:57
in in total added together time travel isn't it it's oh yeah it's really weird on the way back sleep straight away woke
12:03
up and I'm in London it was a bit weird yeah but um yeah but Vegas itself yeah so we should say
12:11
as well uh so our our group there was Byron arus uh Ed who who works for Byron who's
12:19
an awesome Chap and then Ross from fmer as well yes Ross who that was our little group on our new uh friends of the
12:26
channel who uh help you with uh the 3D print 3D printing yeah yeah yeah yeah he
12:32
is the man to go to he's a lovely chap as well and he like uh guy mid minis uh
12:39
they did a a video recently about learning how to 3D print and guess who helped them yeah he sort to becomeing
12:45
every other channel Channel's go-to guy is yeah absolutely yeah um but yeah yeah
12:51
it was awesome yeah we stayed at like he's such a such a culture shock oh God
12:57
yeah we stayed at EXC caliber um here's a picture of it there we
13:04
go it's ridiculous isn't it excalibar is utterly ridiculous and it's got more
13:10
ridiculous since I've come home and I've looked to photographs on that have gone cuz after when you see it it's
13:16
ridiculous but it's sound it's surrounded by ridiculous cuz over the road from it was New York New York which
13:24
has got three or four sort of quasy interpretations of wellknown building
13:30
has has a Statue of Liberty yeah which is at least three or four stories high yeah it's enormous it has its own
13:35
built-in roller coast yeah and then so when you think take that into consideration Excalibur doesn't look
13:41
quite so weird but then when you look at a photograph of Excalibur on its own it's utterly preposterous yes it is yeah
13:48
it's bizarre I mean walking around Vegas is just bizarre escalators everywhere yeah you can't walk in a straight line
13:54
for more than about 300 M before you have to go up a set of stairs or an escalator over a sky bridge that
14:01
desperately tries to push you into a casino yeah which you can then go down another set of stairs carry on walking
14:06
for a bit have to go back over the other side it's really really odd I was trying to explain to somebody how
14:14
condensed the casinos are on the strip I said to the point I said if you walked
14:20
from one end of the strip to the other on a rainy day you probably wouldn't get that wet no cuz you could almost walk
14:27
casino to casino yeah yes you know what I mean you get wet going across the sky Bridge as you went into the next one on
14:33
the other side of the road but it was just it's an well their their version of
14:38
of rain in the desert was just a little bit of drizzle wasn't it yeah yeah yeah it was a really really really bizarre
14:46
Place wasn't it I am I think the biggest shock for me was you obviously have the
14:51
facades of these buildings are insane yeah and you have New York you walk down
14:56
the street oh I'm in Paris now um and the bagio and and Caesar's Palace
15:03
and all everything is is like you know like a like a movie set or something but you walk in and they're all the same
15:10
yeah once you once you look past whatever their internal
15:17
stickers they they are just the same place like the Rio where the the uh the
15:23
tournament was being held didn't seem to have a shtick no it didn't but it it wasn't on the Strip was it no it was not
15:30
it was a little just a little bit off it but it didn't have a theme today you go Rio you go well that's in that's in
15:38
Brazil and that's a big party town why didn't they have a massive Christ Redeemer
15:43
statue M trick there but it was like you know there was nothing in it he went
15:49
well I'm getting the feel of like a Brazilian parade of entertainment and the braz you know and there was nothing
15:55
where you felt well this feels like it's get an interpretation of Brazil it was
16:01
just like no it's literally just a casino hotel yeah it didn't have anything that you know even the
16:07
entertainment which sadly I couldn't go and see but the residents were um pen
16:12
andella yeah who I'd like to have seen but you don't go whenever I think of Rio
16:18
De Janeiro I think one very gobby and one silent magician that's never how I
16:24
think of of that place and I think you know thought not I think reflected the
16:29
name where in other places it did reflect the name you know at least our place for at least it had suits of armor
16:36
and things like that going on and the had like the shood Forest Bar yeah yeah
16:43
um and I think I only saw two suits of armor do you know what was weird for a
16:49
for a uh a country that um in the nicest possible way likes
16:54
violence in a bit of a fight none of the suits of armor had any weapons did they not no just there well that's it cuz
17:01
probably somebody might grab one yeah well that's possibly a thing yeah they were like oh I've I've just lost my life
17:07
savings so I'm putting this sword through the machine in this slot machine um where's a a sword yes ah here we go
17:15
and it wouldn't get me a mace oh I'm on yeah what they should have done was swapped them for like lar weapons so
17:20
they're all foam yeah maybe that would have been fun but um but yeah but um
17:26
yeah Vegas was was crazy we we also went like the strip well it was because we
17:32
got there on a weekday I was surprised how quiet it is yes U cuz I guess we were there out of season uh on a weekday
17:40
and it was sort of a little bit like is this is this what it's like all the time yeah um but as it got to the weekend and
17:48
and there was a few like hen pities and the music was a bit louder and and you were like oh cool Vegas I'm J lagged and
17:54
really tired and I've been working so I'm going to go to bed people were really stand starting to stand around the creas and play craps and other you
18:00
could hear groups of guys and girls who come together were cheering at however well the dice were going on claps and
18:07
things like that and and it did have a bit more life to it but during the week it was like fruit machines in an old age
18:12
pensioner Zone wasn't there yes and no one no one sat at a single machine looked like they enjoying themselves I
18:18
think I I heard two people cheer all week uh I was counting yeah uh on the
18:24
weekend it was a bit different um but um on the week it was yeah yeah it super interesting but yeah it like it was uh
18:31
it was cool and then I guess our our trip of vegos talk about Fremont Street Freemont Street was really Fremont
18:38
Street was what I wanted Vegas to all be like yeah I think the problem we had is
18:44
the fact that we um uh we w we worked really long days they were like roughly 12-hour days
18:50
weren't they yeah something like and um so what with the jet lag and then the
18:56
amount of hours we worked we were basic basically coming out and generally having something to eat and then going
19:03
to bed weren we basically and um cuz we were normally in we were normally at the
19:10
tournament for about quarter to 8 in the morning yeah so we were there quite early so we we we didn't uh we really
19:16
wen't buring the candle at both ends when we were in Vegas we we were quite we were quite boring but yeah I think uh
19:23
I think I just got over the jet lag just in time to come home yes I think basically like yeah I think it's taken
19:29
me about a week yeah but I summoned off enough energy to have walk down Freeman Street and I really liked Freeman Street
19:35
it was very interesting we've seen a very interesting devil and a very interesting
19:43
nun she didn't really look very devil likee no and to be fair I don't think she was wearing enough clothes to look
19:50
particularly devil likee yeah and I tell you what the nun did I I've I've got to
19:55
be honest I've not come into contact with a lot of nuns but they generally wear more clothes than that it's a very strange experience some
20:03
of free mon Street some of the people who are hanging around and attempt to con you into a photograph yes yeah yeah
20:10
so it was it's I mean that that would put bums on seats if none's dressed like that in the UK wouldn't it it definitely
20:16
make me Thea think about changing my religion and going to church far more often if they look like that it was a
20:22
very strange place yes it was very very strange um yeah but so like yeah the T
20:28
tournament itself and the experience of everything and like um yeah I guess we we I stuck my head into the room a
20:35
couple of times um yeah had a bit of a walk and seeing that many people um
20:41
playing 40K was insane and the room
20:47
itself like and I was trying to Ross about it was really hard to to capture
20:53
on video just like how couldn't get the W you ginormous it is you couldn't could you yeah and and it's it's really really
20:59
interesting like I think it was quite I think for me like the takeaway was like
21:04
Yeah The Hobby Community is awesome um like we met met a lovely chat called
21:11
Sergio if you are watching there we go cook to me if you are watching Sergio thank you so much he bought was loads of
21:17
coffees oh he was absolutely like a Lifeline to keeping us going wasn't he
21:23
he was amazing he was a really really nice guy and uh if you are watching thank you again man he was really really
21:29
cool and um Gregory Gregory Gregory Gregory who was a lovely lovely chap as
21:35
well I was explaining he took us to dinner one night on the grounds of the fact that he
21:40
um he loved the show he liked uh he liked Artis hopeus paint brushes he referred to Bella as a
21:48
saint he may have had a beer or two by that point in time I don't know yeah but um yeah he was really really lovely I
21:54
loved his idea of saying um when you say first name is Gregory and you're
21:59
marrying a woman whose say name is Gregory you've got to change your name to hers cuz how would you you why would you give up that opportunity to same
22:06
name Sensational yeah don't blame him at all I love the theory of it but yeah so
22:12
it was it was really good and I didn't know at the time but the chap who won
22:17
whose name I'm sorry I can't remember but the chap who won 40K um was the son of one of the people that
22:25
working on the Games Workshop stand yes yeah yeah he's a member of the Vanguard tactics
22:30
yeah yeah he's one of one of the coaches nekron won I believe was that right yeah nekron's won as well yeah which was uh
22:36
seemed to be a bit of a uh a little bit of a shock don't get me wrong lar were in the final which was not a shock at
22:42
all yeah and then age of sigar was sigar was cities of Sigma sigar versus cities
22:48
of cities of Sigma after we'll put that down to being training exercise
22:53
um yeah and but I don't know a lot of angels Angels uh of cities of Sigmar but
23:00
we was we met up with who was also a lovely lovely chap who should be mentioned is Andy Tolbert who's from
23:08
events at Games Workshop and was a really really nice guy and he explained
23:13
uh the Army list that one to us and it sounded even with my limited knowledge of AJ Sigma it sounded utterly
23:21
filthy I think that sounds like it's got nerfed written all over after that potentially yeah cool um but yeah it was
23:30
it was great um yeah other folks we tried to oh I'm going to I'm going to
23:35
put the name on screen I was like oh cuz I've got one of their cards in a bag somewhere who had all of the painted uh
23:42
like 3D printed like weapons oh they were awesome were they something goblins
23:48
yes yes they were yeah and there's the you'll see them knocking around on Instagram we start we've got some
23:53
photographs of I think they at one point in time handed me a a Balter with a that
24:00
you could actually Co and had a magazine that came off it at one point in time that nearly had to be you know
24:06
physically removed off me because i' taken quite a shine to just keep an hold of it um yeah they made some really
24:12
really cool what they called hobby goblins maybe maybe we'll we'll we'll uh
24:18
you'll know know cuz CU Pat will have put the name of them up but um yeah their stuff was really really cool and
24:24
they were lovely guys as well yeah so we've got some I'll put some photogra put some more photographs up on Insta
24:30
you'll probably have seen one if you do look at my insta account there's one of me holding uh a large orc weapon with
24:38
amazingly brilliantly graffitied W written down the side of it yeah um yeah
24:44
the Army painter were there had a chat little chat with Adam which is lovely because I spoke very
24:50
briefly to Sam Sam lens who was a phenomenal painter he was really cool yeah uh a AK were there there some
24:56
lovely chaps working on on that stand and and we had we had a uh some food
25:02
with the guys from Monument Hobbies as well who were also awesome really really Lov fantastic very lovely people the
25:07
guys at Monument Hobbies they do make some phenomenal paints and they seem to
25:12
have set our stand Al like didn't he with the with the no no
25:18
no did you buy a bottle of no I did buy a bottle try that that might be a thing for a future episode wasn't it turning
25:25
acrylics into oil paint yes so yeah they it's their subtractive weathering medium
25:33
uh well done yeah I I could go into marke you think you could um it made the dog sit up
25:40
there when he said that like that yeah yeah um subtractive weathering medium is dog for oi
25:50
um I can you know I rarely sit on the sofa um so it's bil got any sofa looking
25:56
at this it's quite ni nice to be distracted by the dog um and just hello
26:03
hello Audio Only listeners I am uh stroking the dog here we go yeah um yes
26:11
so I'm I'm really eager to try that um and see where it sort of fits in with um
26:17
because I think a criticism of your enamels and oils is you everything needs
26:23
its its own thinner um it's going to eat your brush and you have to have
26:28
different brushes and it generally is a bit more planning so like the acrylic nature of it means it's it's you don't
26:35
have to think about it as much less solvents involved which is probably ideal absolutely but it' be interesting
26:42
to see how it behaves and because it's the medium you can make it any color you want yeah um so that is is super
26:50
interesting so I think we'll have a video about that cuz it's they said that they sold out immediately uh and they
26:57
had to sort of really try hard to find stock to bring some um I don't think
27:02
anyone's got it in the UK yet um it was um so yeah it' be fun one well it was it
27:08
was quite interesting because um although I know the basics of the ARA
27:13
so Drive Rush method um to actually sit and watch uh Byron going to work and
27:21
Ross as well who knows it very well uh going to work on doing it for as demos for people who are coming by
27:28
it was that was really fascinating to go oh do you know what this this moist
27:33
moist D dry brushing yeah not what was what was Ross calling the to Anno was it
27:39
something like squidy slightly slightly damp smushy Brushy or something like that
27:44
yeah what to Byron's Conti roll
27:49
annoyance I'm not I I wouldn't be one to say who's right and wrong but you know yeah the brush was the the brush was
27:56
slightly moist and smushy yeah yeah if if you're stippling it is a slightly slightly damp smush brush yeah but it
28:02
was good to see them doing that and then the N was brought over and then you started to see that being figured out as
28:08
well and that it was quite it was quite interesting to see it so um um there
28:14
were some beautiful models not only in the painting competition but also there
28:20
was a I still not quite sure who they were but there was like a company wasn't
28:25
it displ display stuff yeah like a a museum or something so they had like
28:31
squid Mar's crashed Manta they did yes uh which was such a surprise like I was trying to find a toilet and I was like
28:38
oh I've seen that yeah and it's enormous it's Absolut massive hug and like as
28:44
good as those videos are and they are phenomenal um it it so much better in
28:50
person yeah it didn't they videos don't just can't quite do it justice can they they was I don't know who'd made it but
28:56
there was um yeah uh if you I don't know whether you can p but if you I will send a
29:01
photograph of it if you maybe get it into the show is um that handmade that built from scratch of the um the tech
29:09
priests all putting the uh the Marine into his Terminator armor oh yeah there's a like a little vignette sort of
29:15
thing I've I've got a photograph of it was one of the most impressive things I've seen in agees seen a a tech priest
29:21
literally working on the uh the Terminator yeah uh symbol and stuff on the on the shoulder P yeah that was
29:28
really impressive um and Talking of that talking of painting is obviously as well
29:33
there was a lot of phenomenal uh painters there doing SE seminars um Byron in fact did one as well yeah but
29:41
we got to meet him didn't we we did Marco Fon who is lovely in real life and uh
29:51
just yeah I only saw him in passing yeah we just briefly got a chance to stop him spe in the it was enough to confirm my
29:57
love yeah yeah and to know that that that extraordinarily lovely Italian
30:03
voice is is actually the real it's just how he talks yeah yeah yeah if you don't
30:08
know Marco's work you really should have a look at him on on YouTube he's he uh
30:14
is a phenomenal painter and comes across as generally just an all around Good Egg doesn't he yeah absolutely yeah he
30:20
really nice and his work with chromatic black is is exceptional um yeah it's
30:26
great I love it I actually thought when we met him you might try and get him to say it at one point in
30:31
time I like I just have um I I've realized this about myself is that like
30:40
I I get like little phrases of of PE of people like like with C of paint like
30:48
hey guys Henry here and I just want to fall asleep and then and then if I watch
30:53
a uh a Marco video if if he talks about chromatic black and all that and oh he's
30:59
just so good well like I've told you know that one of my uh one of my customers uh who's called Serio he uh
31:06
he's a Nottingham lad but his his uh his dad's Italian his he's sadly passed but his father was Italian and he spends a
31:13
lot of time in Italy I showed him Marco yeah on a YouTube video and even he said
31:20
that's the most Italian man speaking English I have ever heard in my life yeah
31:26
yeah yeah I don't know he survives he lives in Dublin Marco I don't know he
31:31
survives yeah yeah he's brilliant yeah you know cuz Dublin has have quite a sharp sense of humor I'm surprised he
31:38
haven't been going you put that on yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah but yeah lovely
31:43
chap as well but there was um yeah there was some really good paint and Talent on display while we were there which was
31:50
really really cool to see but yeah so generally a very tiring slightly
31:57
bewildering trip oh we got out to the Grand Canyon we did get out to the Grand Canyon we got out to the Grand Canyon
32:02
and we spent uh quite a long time on a bus we did spend quite a long time on a
32:09
bus we went out with a bit of an oversharing tour guide but I don't want to go into too much
32:16
detail I hope his divorce is going through okay yeah I don't want to say too much about the chap but um he uh his
32:25
yeah is uh is is divorce has been a bit of a thing and um joshu trees yeah he
32:32
showed as Joshua trees and apparently he's in fantastic shape he is in fantastic shape if he says so himself
32:38
yeah yes that was a bit of an interesting time but it was brilliant to see the Grand Canyon um I think me and
32:45
you and everybody else might have enjoyed slightly more than Paul Ross did yes with Ross sadly uh I'm not the
32:51
greatest myself but blessing me had a a bit of a fear of heights thing going on cuz I took a photograph of a I did a
32:58
selfie of me with the Grand Canyon behind me and somebody said you don't massively look that impressed she rep no
33:05
all it was going through my mind was that I was going to topple backwards into it my favorite comment my favorite
33:11
comment on that one cuz he it was just selfie and someone was like you look spectacularly
33:19
[Laughter] underwhelmed which is just to put people
33:24
in the put people into put it into context with people my underwhelmed face
33:30
and my falling backwards into an enormous Canyon face are very very similar yeah that's all even though I
33:37
was about 10 foot away from the sides my brain was going one more step backwards cuz I was trying to get as much in and
33:43
the thought one more step backwards I'm going to be in there yes and my it I don't break but and I was then starting
33:49
to think it's about two maybe three it was about two o'clock in the afternoon
33:54
if I fall in this and die will everybody else still be able to make that 10:00
34:01
flight I did I did I did uh peek over the edge at at one point I think there might be a picture of me and Andy
34:08
like um and and again I think the thing I found with the US like like with Vegas
34:15
like you say we'd walk for like 30 minutes and you turn around and go oh
34:21
we' barely come anywhere cuz the hotel's just there yeah but it's so massive that it's like
34:27
no it is actually really far away yeah and and looking out at the Grand Canyon you're like it's all you can see it
34:34
takes up we were on this like Peninsula it takes up your entire vision and um
34:41
you're you're just sort of like right but how big is it like I know it's big
34:46
but is it big big like I it's about six miles long isn't it did did oh it's like
34:52
hundreds of miles long yeah yeah yeah I think we we were about six smiles from
34:57
oh the start of it from the start of it yeah um but yeah like I wanted to see a person on a on in a kayak or something
35:06
and then be like give perspective yeah yeah um or like see a plane go by um and
35:11
be like okay it's that big oh sadly uh our uh our traveling companion for that
35:18
day we talked about already Andy he was meant to be going up in a helicopter and it got canell because of the weather
35:24
even though all it seemed to be me to was drizzly and a bit overcast yes I
35:30
thought I thought God I get the impression that uh Vegas um V Vegas
35:36
helicopter pallets might be really really spoiled for good weather I think yeah not going up in that mate yeah yeah
35:43
yeah um but yeah that was that was a brilliant um a brilliant experience yes
35:49
it was seeing all that on so un so many many levels the comedy that has been
35:54
provided for our WhatsApp group from that day has been never ended it's been
36:00
just been a constant so you know you know to today was a week ago that we
36:06
were there oh cranky yeah and uh and I think all and I think there will still
36:11
be a comment about uh our time with the tour guide will probably still get mentioned at
36:17
some point again during today um other things then from that was
36:24
they did a um they did a Games Workshop did a preview
36:29
things coming out while we were there didn't they they did indeed um and there's much to do as lots of amazing
36:35
things um some of which I'll talk about some of it I'll talk about sketchley because it's not really my wheelhouse
36:42
but oh I'm having to really massively wrestle myself away from the idea of having a Cru
36:48
Army like I'm here to enable you don't don't enable me the um the uh they
36:54
showed the content of which is a bit weird that the to
36:59
codex uh early release box is got no tow on it it's just it's a little bit
37:04
strange it's a bit strange but to be fair the crw that are in it are absolutely lovely I thought um you know
37:12
D wrong we only seen photographs the same as the rest of you but um uh really
37:17
really nice yeah really really nice I thought um very very Dynamic poses um
37:24
the whole new rebuild of the uh the the Infantry Squad was very good and then um
37:30
massively hinted at that it was only half of what they're going to release for the Cru
37:35
and they uh gave the impression speaking to certain people they gave the impression
37:41
that that um they might be a playable Army in their own right which I think is
37:47
really exciting because they if the rest of the army that they released was as nice as what they showed then then I'll
37:53
be quite impressed uh other one that was immediately especially for you being a big fan of the books oh night Lords in
38:00
the Kill theme box yeah cuz they've been shown pre they've been shown previously were they had they been leaked so they
38:07
had to show them no no they been they they done I think I don't know if they've been a leak or they just done an actively early showing of them I don't
38:14
know and then they' saved uh the dark alar side of it which is the
38:21
oh what the mandri Yeah I thought the mandri look to me
38:27
they look like sigar models they look like they looked like and not only did they look like sigar models I hate to
38:32
say but they looked like slightly average Sigma models yeah maybe if you're a dark elar
38:39
player you're uh drari if you like um you're really excited about them and
38:44
good and pleased if you uh if you like them much better than the previous ones I just thought they looked they looked a
38:49
bit Rank and Fire Ed of Sigma to me which was a bit of a shame or I yeah I don't I don't know if I'm sort of of
38:56
like maybe being uh biased because having read the night Lord's books and
39:04
being a bit in love with them and having already seen them I was like yeah night Lords who are they playing against don't
39:10
care um like um I think yeah may like
39:15
maybe maybe a bit of that is is is coming into play with it but um yeah I thought the night Lords look fantastic
39:23
um like that upgrade kit uh as we as we mentioned before um is is brilliant yeah I think it's
39:30
fantastic the um yeah well the night Lords are so well done and and I've
39:35
heard this said a few times they're so well done that it doesn't look like a
39:40
chaos Marine upgrade Brew it looks like someone they have released night Lords Miniatures doesn't it and I think that's
39:46
a real Testament if you can make an upgrade sprew look like an army box yeah well a
39:54
an a squad to that level then you know you've you've hit really well and I
39:59
thought they were I thought they were really nice all the Miniatures that um that stood out for me where the uh were
40:06
the ones of oh which two characters from age of Sigma was Callis and tol one of
40:12
them looking like a traditional sort of witch hunter big hat sort of character yeah and then uh he's dressed in full
40:20
night armor but then toen two-handed John Wick mus yeah well musk uh pistols
40:27
then you think yeah that's pretty good and loads of new KN HS as well which also look quite nice so
40:34
again this normally I have a habit over the last few months of going oh you know AG of Sigmar knocking out the park and
40:41
40K looking a bit boring but I think the crout I think the crout had it on this one for me they really did and uh I was
40:48
desperately trying to discover what I could play them as mercenaries with in in a in a in a Space Marine Army without
40:55
me having to give it have an army of them I was like just have some and then I'll do it just some I don't know maybe
41:02
I think um do you know what may be my way to um my way to scratch the edge further down
41:09
the line is they are probably all being well might get a combat Patrol box
41:16
CW okay if they get a combat Patrol box then I can uh then I can just build and
41:21
paint a combat Patrol and just play there would they would they do that though cuz you if you can only use them
41:26
in tow would it be a bit weird having like two tow armies um no I don't think
41:34
so because I haven't um haven't Space Marine got two I mean yeah space well space Mar
41:41
like a Phobos one is is he not like a fobos there's a Space Marine combat Patrol which is the contents of
41:47
Leviathan um no no there's um like the Space Marine one is generally I think the Phobos armor and there's a vehicle
41:54
in there but you have like the first box of Warhammer I got in you know my
41:59
adulthood was um a Cy cuz
42:06
they death thingy myob um I keep forgetting the name it's terrible silver
42:13
shoulder pad oh oh yes Deathwing no it's not Deathwing No Death Watch Death Watch
42:19
there we go all the Death that's was so Much Death so Much Death that I can't remember which death um it is so I got a
42:26
death watch one um and and there's there's various like chapter ones I think there like four or five so yeah
42:32
cuz I would I've got to be honest if they are going to say they're playable as their own
42:39
Army then I wouldn't be surprised that they get their own box yeah I guess that make sense so yeah uh that might be in
42:46
the way of my of me scratching me because that is something I would like to investigate further down the line is um combat Patrol cuz I have heard good
42:54
thing from a few people that play it and I think the the idea that um you know the one box although I don't
43:02
think it's hugely ever going to happen but the idea that all boxes are balanced and he should be able to play one
43:08
against another quite you know competitively yeah would be uh would be quite good especially because I also
43:14
have always quite fancied the idea of having a sister's box as well so yeah but um if they do do that if they don't
43:20
blend them with the towel for a new combat Patrol box then I will probably
43:26
buy the crw that way I would say yeah yeah which would be pretty cool yeah I
43:32
don't I think the crew in the kill team like I thought oh yeah they're really
43:37
cool yeah um I don't know I'm not sure maybe I'm just a sucker for Power
43:43
Armor yeah maybe you are I'm just basic uh maybe that's my thing yeah I
43:49
thought I could look at the crew and go yeah that's cool but say it doesn't interest me as much as like the
43:55
Deathwing box that's coming out oh yeah well like in in this is it this this weekend you
44:02
can get your hands on is it this weekend what you can pre-order or you can no because you could pre-order pre-order already gone it got right yeah it was
44:09
well I was in um Warhammer World yesterday and I was looking to get a
44:14
Tauros which sadly they didn't have but apparently might want to have one later in the week and um I seen the Deathwing
44:23
uh Terminators In the Flesh and they whoever has painted them who will obviously be watching because we know
44:28
all of the heavy metal team watch this channel um whoever painted them has done a really banging job I've seen a lot of
44:35
heavy metal on display in Warhammer world before but um and I've always been
44:41
mightily impressed but whoever has painted the uh the Deathwing they are in
44:47
the flesh really really really crisp they've done a really banging job on them they
44:53
looked to the point that I was like oh Deathwing oh Dark Angel like no no no no
44:59
no no not doing that I've already got enough Space Marines to paint to see me till the day I pop me clogs I'm not
45:06
doing any more Space Marines of another chapter so but yeah really really nice
45:11
though yeah so that was cool um some the other thing as well which
45:17
was really nice wasn't it was that when we were selling for uh for uh AR sopers
45:23
some people bought our stuff yeah who knew yeah our uh our special blend of uh
45:31
our special brushes blend box went which was quite nice and uh some people bought
45:36
Dice and there was uh the really funny moment where um I was stood I just dealt
45:44
with a customer and they had left uh and i' been chatting to them so I was on the outside of the stand and they left and
45:50
then a British guy rocked up next to me with his mate and then went
45:56
pain and face dice here and it was like the last couple of bags that were were available that were were were there CU
46:03
they were mainly being used to show off the the dice tray the the standard art super standard dice tray and I was going
46:09
painting face dice here that's I'm really really surprised I told why are they there and then he sort of turned as
46:15
I then turned and looked at him and found out he was a big fan of the channel so if you're watching hello and
46:21
he went ah I was which was quite funny yes that was quite nice as well so yeah
46:28
generally I thought it was um I thought it was a very nice time my feet are
46:33
still a little bit throbbing yeah but uh other news is we've had hopefully which
46:39
will come off we've had the invite from uh Byron uh and his right-and man Ed
46:47
we've had the invite to go and work at adepticon of me yeah that would be very exciting very close to Chicago which
46:54
would be good I'm given real real serious thought that when I work adepticon I might put might treat myself
47:01
to new pair of slippers yeah I might just work at EP in like a big check pair of marks and Spencer slippers would they
47:07
have the the the support for your feet there well I don't know but uh I don't
47:13
know I think I made a a very large era of going to Vegas in relatively new boots and I was thinking my feet are
47:20
thring a little bit so either it will be one extreme to the other I will either be at adepticon in
47:26
slippers or I will be at adepticon in extremely far too much more than there
47:32
ever needed walking boots yeah I think will be will be one or the other for me I'm I can't quite make me mind up with
47:38
still be quite cold in Chicago in March March won't yeah it's it's going to be quite a cold area up that way so you
47:43
never know the uh G Lin walking boots might be the way yeah yeah either or
47:49
exceptionally fairy slippers yeah be one of the other why not both maybe both yeah maybe see how the day yeah yeah my
47:57
my feet were hurting a bit I uh I don't have an an incredible lower back cuz I'm in my 30s now um so if I sit on my nice
48:06
office chair I'm all right but the flight over I was like oh um so I
48:11
unfortunately on the way over had the had the argument with the gentleman in front of me who tried to put his seat
48:17
back and then couldn't quite figure out why it wasn't really going anywhere and then turned around to look at me and I
48:23
had to say your seat's not moving cuz 6'2 yes who then said to
48:30
me who then grumbled turned around and then eventually started moving the seat
48:36
again and then moved it onto me feet and I had to give it a little bit of a nudge to get it the weight of it off me legs
48:43
and then he looked around and said to me he said if I have my seat back is it going to inconvenience you and I went
48:48
yes it'll be quite sore because you've actually basically got your weight laying on me knees and um and he went
48:54
but what am I meant to do it's an 11-hour flight and I was like what am I meant to do I'm 6'2 you know I can't
49:01
take my legs off no good God I wish I could have you know what I mean and and again lovely to be travel size yes
49:08
absolutely right yeah that's what I'm going to do on the way to Chicago I'm going to sit in front of you and then I
49:13
could have me seat all the way back and you probably would notice no difference no difference and on the way back as
49:19
well you lucky blighter being the size you are three seats in a lie down oh yes
49:25
yeah I got three seats and my version about three seats was I sat in the middle and just had one leg under the
49:31
other two seats that was as good as it got took it wrong it wasn't bad but yeah I mean they give a pillow and a blanket
49:37
to each seat don't they yes um and I had my travel pillow as well um so I just
49:44
kind of strategically put some pillows over the seat bels so they didn't stab into me Y and I just I just killed up
49:50
like a baby it was wonderful yeah see I like quite I quite like being 6'2 it's
49:56
nice to be a little bit on the big sides and mildly imposing and you know and all the rest of it but
50:02
um wish you could shrink down when it comes to planes just see like I don't think the
50:09
world the world is built for the average man isn't it yeah um yeah so the one I
50:14
think that killed me the one that killed me uh with regards to my size on that
50:20
plane was that on the way over I went for a Wii and as I went for a Wii I
50:28
walked past leg room where was sat Mr Steve box from Vanguard tactics with his
50:36
mate whose name if I remember rightly is Jake who's about your height was in leg
50:43
room like this with about another seven spare foot I mean don't don't hate the play game the game but um I was like I
50:50
was I was like should have got that upgrade and you know better now and do you know
50:56
I don't know whether you seen but on the um on the Vegas WhatsApp Group which will obviously become the adepticon
51:01
WhatsApp group I have already um when Ed said can you confirm whether you can go
51:08
I said not only can confirm but I also said Ed when you book of the flight book me leg room I'll pay for the upgrade
51:13
myself yeah yeah I think it's like 50 Quid yeah do you know what yeah do you know what if I got leg room out in and
51:21
out I think that'd be 100 quid well spent I think yeah you know to be more comfor yeah yeah absolutely so but you could
51:29
pay like a thousand quid to go in upper class you know what you think I walk I
51:36
seen upper class briefly you know they they mildly don't even like you're looking at it you turn in a look no pleb
51:43
get out the plane but um avert your eyes yeah but even even um
51:50
upgraded uh coach looked quite nice yeah seats are bigger aren't they yeah instead of like 333 it's
51:57
232 yeah they look quite nice and um yeah you could just see first class
52:04
just on the other side of the bar yeah that we weren't allowed I think they they put like curtains over there don't
52:09
they they like no you're not allowed to look don't don't even don't even sniff
52:15
in that direction one day maybe but I think think who has that much money to spend
52:21
on flights to be able to not only pay you know because I'm sure I we don't know
52:27
how much it cost because you know very kindly it didn't come out of our budget but you know direct he throw to Vegas
52:34
can't be cheap but to then to then go oh screw it first class yeah yeah crazy
52:42
yeah I think Vegas is one of the cheapest places to fly to because apparently the casinos like subsidize
52:48
the flights H yeah that makes that makes sense doesn't it they they obviously need you there to yeah money I don't
52:55
think is like a necessarily like a a it is a destination isn't it like you have
53:01
to go there and the whole place is built around spending a load of money and and all that sort of stuff so uh they want
53:08
you there um true so it makes it a bit
53:13
cheaper yeah um because usually flying direct is more expensive isn't it but yeah
53:19
Absolut yeah I think yeah the quicker they can get you there and get you spending the uh the better I think um
53:26
yeah so uh think oh I'll tell you who else as well seemed to be generally really really nice how nice were Vegas
53:32
Uber drivers oh yeah they were awesome lovely people other than the other than the one who took us from the airport to
53:39
the hotel on the way in who seemed may I I'd like to think maybe he was lovely but he was just had a very long shift
53:45
yeah he didn't seem to be particularly talkative but vir everybody and not only
53:51
that but how quick they turn up oh was crazy yeah yeah we could literally be
53:56
walking towards Ed could be walking towards the door book one we'd stand outside for about a minute and a half
54:02
and it was there yeah yeah all these massive cars yeah always enormous that
54:08
were insanely comfortable yeah oh D you know what I did M make me think you know whenever I look at American cars you
54:14
always think yourself oh there's no need for it to be that big that's ridiculous and then you one you're go oh this is
54:19
lovely yeah there was one that had like there was one in there that had like the uh the onboard computer was like the
54:26
size of a really large iPad yeah yeah yeah taking some design cues from like Tesla yeah was normous yeah it was but
54:34
um so that's pretty much what happened to us while we haven't been on air for a little bit yes was Vegas was yeah yeah I
54:42
think my uh takeaway from it all was it was just very inspiring um I thought it
54:48
was really really great to like go with such a fun group of people like massive thanks to Byron and Ed for for like
54:56
bringing us along it was lovely company incredible experience we all we had a
55:02
wonderful time um seeing Byron like do all his tuition and the classes and get
55:09
but annoyingly making it look so easy as always oh that's the big um and and seeing it
55:16
like I think I think my main takeaway is as much as you can see in person please
55:22
do it um like if if you are unsure about
55:27
tournaments go to one and and and try and experience the vibe and and and see
55:33
what it's like everybody there was so friendly and welcoming and lovely and
55:38
seeing everybody just sort of you got you know what 3,000 people everybody's
55:45
there because they think Warhammer is awesome um and you know there there'd be some outliers and I'm sure somebody went
55:52
and didn't have incredible experience um you know I think that that was that
55:59
was for me like just seeing people in the flesh rather than talking about it
56:04
on the internet yeah um was and seeing painting up close seeing I saw so many
56:09
awesome armies cuz CU Byron Byron judged the age of Sigma like best painted oh
56:14
there was a chap who came through uh there was an American chap who came through with um some sort of Troll Army
56:24
yeah that was all Christmas themed where they all had for weapons had like sort of things that were derivative of like
56:31
candy canes didn't he yeah and one of the trolls that I assume the original model would have been throwing like a
56:36
boulder or something throwing Elf on the shelf's head as and it was just and even
56:42
was on like a little frosted sort of Base wasn't it for the display it was really really lovely it was some really
56:49
quite really really interesting armies that people brought over to you know as they were they were coming through cuz I
56:54
was saying to people oh can we see your army and some of them are really really cool and really imaginative to be fair
57:01
yeah so I was knackered me feet are a bit sore I think I've only just about come
57:06
to terms with the fact I know what day it is but uh Vegas is really weird but
57:12
I'm still very very glad I went I think yeah yeah Wonder wonderful wonderful experience like I don't think I can say
57:19
go to Vegas go to lvo because it's going to be cost prohibitive uh I I wouldn't have gone if if no and I don't know I
57:26
still other than if I was very kindly asked back to to work there next year I
57:34
I think I'd be quite happily not to see Vegas again I I think I really I think cuz the
57:41
thing is you've got to accept as well as everywhere not everywhere in the world
57:46
is for you and you know I uh I I I didn't uh I don't think Vegas was
57:54
massively for me I think one of the major travesties of Vegas was that I had
58:00
a cup of tea in the morning before you kindly picked me up to drive to Heathrow
58:05
and then my next cup of tea was about half an hour after I got out of your car
58:10
back outside me front door nearly a week without a cup of tea what's that about that's a long time it long yeah I don't
58:19
think I've ever felt more English the fact when I turned up even though I knew it was going to happen when I turned up to my hotel room to discover that they
58:26
don't have a kettle I was like good God the people are like Savages how can you have no Kettle horrify
58:34
to only joking no American viewers but you really need to embrace the electric cattle for those of it seems to be thing
58:41
you haven't really got your head round over there yet yeah yeah well as as um
58:46
as Ross said we share a language but but not much else yeah it would seem it was yeah it was a bit of cut shot but we
58:52
share language on Warhammer it would seem yes yeah yeah right anything else
58:58
it was lovely no I think I think that's generally covered everything um yeah there we go I think my my well like I
59:06
can't oh hang on hang on you can't not talk about what they like 4 and a half pounds in weight gummy bears oh yeah
59:14
good God I came back and Haley said you would never have a shop in England called I love
59:20
sugar that just wouldn't be allowed no the tax on it alone um would be would be insane that gummy
59:27
bear would be get buying that gummy bear and bringing it into the UK when you
59:32
consider sugar tax would probably be quite about the same amount of bringing that the same weight of cocaine from
59:39
Vegas into the UK and then I was talking to him I'm just on this gummy bear I'll put a photograph up on on Instagram um
59:46
The Gummy Bear I then thought how do you eat it do you just know on it and then I
59:53
thought and then I said to Haley do you take it off in slices yeah and she said that starts to feel a bit like a serial
59:59
killer thing just slicing bits of gummy bear off just your ears going yeah start with the appendages yeah um to really
1:00:07
prolong the suffering or you like you know like a family of you just know a bit of the gummy bear and then go there you go and
1:00:13
then you all just don't know where I was eating yeah yeah starts on a leg Yeah
1:00:19
just pass it round um were you eating the left or the right or the left or I'll e the other on yeah just just lady
1:00:26
in the trampet with with your significant other um oh yes it was just
1:00:31
like anything that you've seen before in England it was like that but just had to be done so much way bigger way bigger I
1:00:38
think the most normal food we had out there was when we went to a pizza place yeah which amazingly nice stuff and very
1:00:46
I don't get me wrong I know they work for tips but the are the the staff in America are very good yeah yeah you know
1:00:51
um and then I think did we go to a tie place at one stage yeah we went to a place on on three mon Street yeah felt a
1:00:57
bit British didn't it quite normal IE like oh we could eat like this in the UK yeah um we walked past the Heart Attack
1:01:06
Grill um which if there's a massive sign that says if you're over
1:01:14
350 in in like weight yes you eat for free um maybe I will go back to Vegas
1:01:20
I'll just get on a bit of can't be far off that I I don't know what that is in to think
1:01:28
in old money but um but yeah that and I I looked at the because I was
1:01:33
recommended to go love the idea go if you're really fat we're here to help you get fatter yeah yeah we want to keep
1:01:40
what a really great idea yeah um which is if you have a horrific heroin addiction we'll give you it for free
1:01:47
yeah yeah yeah already addicted yeah free drugs um yeah and I I looked at the
1:01:54
restaurant because uh one one of our um one of our followers said oh you're going to Vegas go to go to the Heart
1:02:00
Attack Grill and the the the weight staff are dressed up in like nurse's
1:02:05
uniform if you go in you're given an apron uh or like a like a like like
1:02:11
you're going to have surgery yeah um and if you don't finish your food they spank
1:02:17
you um and the largest the largest thing you can buy on the menu if you want
1:02:24
additional bacon you can only have 40 slices of bacon wasn't it 40 slices of
1:02:30
bacon for s for $7 or something something ludicrous yeah although American bacon is a bit weird it's like
1:02:37
very very small little yeah like streaky bacon yeah I like streaky bacon it was I do like streaky bacon no I like it to
1:02:45
look I actually do like it to look like it was once bit a bit of a
1:02:50
pig it has to be the correct shape has to be the correct has to be that shape yeah but uh yeah yeah yeah wonderful
1:02:58
experience I think yes my takeaway was um you know if you're unsure whether you hate tournaments or not go to one um
1:03:06
absolutely I think my experience from that would be um that I I would be Keen
1:03:12
to to go and and share that experience and and just have a have a play I
1:03:18
wouldn't be going to win of course I wouldn't be and with with a thousand people playing 40K I can only
1:03:25
imagine we've seen some quite sad 10% maximum would be wanting to place like
1:03:31
really really high and like of course you want to do well and you want to win some games or or you know go go and have
1:03:37
fun but I can't imagine if somebody went right I'm going to lvo because I want to win the biggest ITC 40K event in the
1:03:44
world um I can only imagine a small percentage of those people would of
1:03:50
going with that mindset um so I think the Vas majority of the time you'll play
1:03:56
against if if I went I would be playing against people like myself that just want to have sharing that experience and
1:04:04
and push models around yeah I think it well the only bit that I thought from the tournament look quite sad was people
1:04:11
who looked like you could tell they were getting ready to go home on the Saturday night where they hadn't made the cut oh
1:04:18
yes yeah there was a few people carrying armies about looking slightly DED yeah cuz when we came in on the Sunday
1:04:24
morning yeah there was people leaving with like trays of armies and stuff and that that was a bit like oh oh they
1:04:30
didn't make the cut on it look I felt bit sorry for yeah yeah a little bit I think that was the only time where I was like oh yeah it's it's a competition and
1:04:38
if it's not worth staying around and you haven't made the cut then why would you stay if you're in that competitive
1:04:44
mindset I wonder whether that's a thing at uh at the hotels in that you can you
1:04:49
can know you book in for the XEL days and go if I haven't gone X Amela games with with the win can I book out early
1:04:56
can I leave early checkout yeah yeah do I have to pay for the additional night
1:05:01
um while I sit in my room sobbing looking at my Army I mean you could gamble well it is
1:05:08
true yeah you could gamble yeah you could go in there but yeah yeah yeah it was awesome massive thanks to uh the guys
1:05:15
from marus for for taking us it was it was a wonderful experience yeah mhm
1:05:21
indeed that'll do us I think I think so goodbye for me goodbye from
1:05:26
her yeah see you next time
1:05:32
byebye now you're woking up what what was that what what have I missed and you were snoring
