hi I'm PG I'm Patrick I'm Jeff I've got I got stunned down
0:05
here super as you think about going on I'll eat this oh yes yeah same and today we
0:14
are joined by Ollie Fabian walking that's right that is all correct
0:19
I got it right all of it almost got it wrong
0:24
yeah yeah that's cool I feel like you should have like fingless gloves do you think yeah maybe a little old hat yeah
0:32
yeah absolutely I think you should do that so thank you for joining us um for our viewers that don't know who
0:37
you are can you give us a brief description of who you are and what do you do I am Ollie Fabian from pro
0:43
football gaming nice we've got that right yeah I've had a YouTube channel about the same sort of time as you guys
0:48
I think now oh no oh no yeah you're you're a you're a
0:53
veteran compared to it yeah we're about six I've got questions about this as well because I've got some some points
0:58
to talk about which is fun I'm looking for not nothing bad okay all right what are we now about 16 months something like that yeah we started in April last
1:04
year oh God no no don't let the beads fool you yeah yeah my anniversary is
1:10
coming up uh October the second I think or first nobody else well there you go I've been running about just over four
1:16
years now I've got a shop over in the west of Ireland so I have like a retail store
1:22
um I don't know really that's it my partner Kira she's a big part of the channel she streams as well so we've become a bit more of the channel now and
1:28
uh yeah keeps me busy basically awesome so my first introduction to you as a as
1:34
a YouTuber was several years ago I did a little warmer TV video oh and it was uh
1:39
how to paint an untamed beast and I remember doing it moving on to the next one moving on to the next one someone
1:45
came up with like oh someone's just used your video to do a YouTube video where they get their partner and they watch
1:51
your video and like learn to paint on your videos yeah and it wasn't until recently so I
1:57
was like we got talking about obviously because you'll come on to the channel and stuff like that
2:03
um I was like that wasn't brought to war game was it so I had a little check and I was like oh my God it was made the
2:09
connection yeah I made the connection it was like so long ago that I've just forgotten about it until recently and then I had a quick watch of the video
2:14
last night because I know some of the steps because they used to do the old it's like I'm just gonna do this bit for
2:19
like four seconds then because they don't want to show all the steps which is weird yeah um but yeah it
2:26
was really that was really interesting sort of thing watching Akira just try and follow my guide actually they're great she did that I think she did the
2:32
first model we got that old like intercessor you know the pointing intercessor man and it's like an old paint set yeah it has no guide in it so
2:39
it's got a couple of Paints in the brushes and I said well this is just after lockdown or whatever kicked in in Ireland so I couldn't I'd move to
2:45
Ireland in the October and this was about was that March April or something and I couldn't get other people onto the channel so I was a little bit like oh
2:50
what are we doing kids like well she likes painting so she thought I'd give it a go she used to do a lot of makeup and stuff she's quite good with brushes
2:55
and colors and she said I'll give it a ghost but she did that intercessor but had like no guide at all it's just like oh
3:04
oh like undercoat it but you wouldn't know right as a totally new person so she learned a bit from that and then
3:10
yeah she saw your video because she likes all the old barbarians and that from war crisis let's do that though so you like to say
3:16
it's the steps I've been missing she's like well this looks awesome and mine it just looks like [ __ ] right now I spent a
3:21
lot of time on manipulators
3:51
about that and then that was kind of a kick off the start together going really yeah yeah after a year and a half she's
3:57
probably even worse I'll tell you enough it's the date on it it was quite and I was
4:03
like sure I've done that longer than that but I actually was around about the same time so I don't know she's better
4:08
than me now yeah well my first my first one of yours was the um Playmobil Gladiator yeah Arena I love
4:16
that the Walker Irena yeah I've been trying to get one so I can make because I saw that and I was just like I need
4:22
this in my life it's so good for me that was like one of the big early big like videos do what I mean but at least had a
4:28
table like this big circle and just get that put this Arena on it I've got it for like 40 or something but that'll do
4:33
because Arena just come out I like it guys I hacked it all up and did that was still a cool board actually now yeah
4:38
don't get to find much better yeah so I I ordered it was I didn't think about it until recently because of like looking at videos and stuff but I'd got a
4:44
Playmobil Castle to turn it into a stormcast sort of Castle for war cry
4:49
um some of the height needs a bit work yeah some of the door's a bit too big and some of the parapets are a bit too low so I need to build up on it but as
4:56
as walls and details go play on eBay is like 10 quid yeah it's for a castle for
5:01
nothing yeah I did another one recently I did like a kids toy like a wizard tower yeah big snowboard I've got loads
5:07
of those things man I've got like a Frozen castle like the Disney Princess one I've Got My Little Pony one I nicked
5:13
off the kid now she's past that face I might make into like a weird realm gate yeah only one side and a bloodthirst or
5:18
the other we're just gonna talk about kids toys yeah buying it from uh Pet Shops or fish
5:25
tanks yeah yeah although they're quite expensive really expensive for what they are because I was looking at um one of
5:31
the guys in uh warmer TV at the time was making a backdrop and it was using the they got the little sort of
5:39
fish tank things you have for like geckos and lizards they've got a name I forgot what they're called bavarium thank you but you can get like
5:45
um like bark some backdrops and science yeah and you get lots of different sizes and they're like they're just really
5:51
good for photography because they just look like a cabin wall but they're like like 20 quid a piece yeah expensive yeah yeah it's like and why why is your table
5:58
got an outer scale German U-Boat I do yeah
6:07
it's not always bang on but it's expensive yeah it's heavy so that's the thing with the kids stuff I was at a
6:13
mate's house I think it has to be expensive doesn't it because it's got to be made out of something that will just weather being in a fish tank for God
6:18
knows a big chunky thing so as I mate I spotted his kids got like a big Iron Man Tower thing and I was like ah like when
6:25
that when that gets done with that I'm making two big mechanics yeah anything I look at kids toys all the time around Dublin for the day and was like oh I've
6:31
got one on Gumtree and I was like oh that's 10 are there 10 are there now we're like oh is this video yeah let's say it isn't all the pieces
6:39
I'm like he loves He-Man I got a load of uh Buzz Lightyear
6:45
because they do like the little Buzz Lightyear Jets of all the different things I picked one of them yeah and the
6:51
figures are tiny but I I've got one I just use loads of like brown paints thinned them down and washed them over
6:56
and I was like these are really good scale for like 28 mil it's not those are sci-fi figures so like 40K is a bit more
7:02
heroic so normal 28 mil games perfect and then we went to a charity shop and
7:08
there's just like loads I was like I'm gonna buy more just gonna get more don't buy me darling she's like is that for Charlie no yeah
7:14
that one the Dave from MSN Scott that was a really good nice one which was 25 quid from TK Maxx that is yeah
7:24
it's amazing I think that video was what inspired me to look to look elsewhere because
7:29
normally I'd like scratch build or I'd like um yeah buy buy kits because when you work
7:35
for Workshop you can get things a bit cheaper because yeah 50 discount but then seeing how cool The Walker I bought was is that I need just do that I just
7:41
get toys because it's it's sturdy plastic you can only get like the Gateway now you can't get all the prices
7:47
I can't make your own but it's always been here
7:53
I didn't make anything I've always been terrible at like like a good I enjoy scenics right I learned a lot about my
7:58
scenics from like it doesn't YouTube now we're talking about earlier Luke from um Luke's APS I'll keep going we've seen this I learned a lot of like terrain
8:05
stuff from him we did like big six by four green rock boards I've got all that stuff Mars boards desert boards trenches
8:10
so I learned that part and like you know I I can see things and you know like edit like a kid's 20 something useful
8:16
but always even 30 years ago was terrible at like making a house yeah yeah the old like game push-up guys how to make a house like my squares aren't
8:23
square like I can't use tools like I'm rubbish and stuff like that they're always awesome just buy it now well your
8:28
blacksmith looked all right know it did actually yeah you got it
8:35
yeah it turned up with the whole rock face was smashed in it turned about two weeks later he ended up cutting the back
8:40
oh it's in the board though yeah that's good scaled it correctly I don't even know about that so zuppazob did like a big sort of was it Minister yeah right
8:48
he's getting the community to like build things he was just doing a big board um and then like the communities like
8:53
yourself like did like a little piece to go over so you did a blacksmith which made broadswords right that's right yeah
8:58
and there was like there was an Eric hobby Workshop Eric did one his was just like unbelievably good I was kind of
9:05
glad I didn't make it I was like [ __ ] like this is amazing Benji's Hobby and there's paint loads of
9:12
them man it was really cool I don't know if we just got involved in that we just had a little Carpenter's Hut that just made pegs yeah
9:38
oh where's the uh the peg uh someone sent us it recently didn't they well it's on my desk no
9:47
um somebody made us a score like a a card for a tactical Peg
9:52
um but my desk is a mess
9:58
let's clean this side right but I might actually do this like that like yeah yeah it's like it's starting to overflow
10:06
that's like the boxes behind you and stuff like that big size background though didn't it I mean something like that yes yeah yeah yeah yeah so I'd say
10:12
like your channel is quite not eclectic in a bad way but in a good way there's like a lot of different stuff yeah sometimes people have a vein they go
10:19
down and I really enjoy it because you've even done on which we appreciate and there's a way of getting into this chat as well oh go on you did Sharps
10:25
rifles with Sean Bean so you've even done napoleonics yeah in comparison to like 40K and stuff about that do you
10:31
find that you know like we were saying it's nice to have like a little fun project and then do stuff for the algorithm is that how you tend to operate generally I mean I don't get a
10:38
lot of time annoyingly I don't get oh unfortunately I don't get a lot of time to make as many videos as I'd like I've always got ideas always got 10 projects
10:45
half on the go and 20 kid toys waiting for their turns you know what I mean like the back of the back of the studio the shop is just full of like I'll do
10:51
that one day and you know like you have your pile of Shame yeah a pile of Shame is since having the shop has grown it's a room machine it's out of control
10:57
I forgot I had that and like just like that and um yeah I like for me like I really want to do things that I love
11:04
right like you say so like sharp for me growing up like yourself best TV show awesome yeah I met um Harris
11:11
um he he did like reenactment stuff didn't he yeah is it salute a lot as I used to do science and salute yeah and
11:16
him there's a good food there's a man like is it yeah yeah a few of those I love that in
11:22
jeans Rifleman jacket and then the little Berry trainers I was like cool yeah we've got
11:29
the tables you don't see that yeah oh right okay I love all that stuff so yeah like trying to do passion against like
11:35
algorithm is tough because I don't make a lot of videos so where where I'm maybe now aiming sort of three every four
11:40
weeks um like one a bad video a poorly performing video that suffers quite hard
11:45
because it's another week or two to the next one yeah it knocks I feel like YouTube goes in waves right like I had a
11:52
good run and then it goes right you've had to go for a bit Yeah down you go then you go okay you've got a few strugglers and then you get one good one
11:57
you're like oh it's great again and it Johnny does that so the mentality that actually I find them the mentality is really hard
12:02
um I get serious now but later on the mindset of like the success and failure yeah yeah yeah and yeah it's amazing I
12:09
think why like is this all just a big mistake yeah is this a terrible idea and then you've got a great video and it's good you put it out and you get your
12:14
thing and Jeremy you know you get lovely comments and you get like shitty ones and it all yeah that's your mind frame right yeah and then with the shop as
12:20
well it's kind of all-encompassing you know and then here it streams four days a week so it's like yeah it's become life now so so I've had to really try
12:27
and like harden up um and and take those highs on those yeah I mean I totally appreciate it because we we've done some videos I've
12:33
really enjoyed doing and they're not doing so well and I'm like is it because it's the title is it the thumbnail is it the day we put it on is it the content
12:40
and you're just there second guessing everything yeah and you get lots of people saying nice stuff about it yeah but it's just not hitting enough people
12:46
for it to make an impact so that you get that kind of like doubt in your own ability absolute stuff so yeah am I just
12:53
a rubbish like painter this is a rubbish project hey it's so many so many variables that come into it so you have
12:58
title like does it have the title war hammer in no probably struggle like does it have a good thumbnail has it got me
13:04
in the thermal care or whatever right there's like success and failure factors and tend to find the videos I really enjoy doing like passion ones get
13:12
received well but then YouTube as as an entity just goes like oh you know everyone that all the comments are lovely yeah yeah High comment to view
13:18
ratio but the views aren't there because it doesn't get put out so obviously you know the broader they go the lower the click rate The Wider the comments that section
13:25
changes right so yeah I suppose it does show the strength of your customer base when you do a passion project that it's
13:31
only like the ones that really care and what really engage with it you don't get your drive by sort of like oh the I've
13:37
seen the thumbnail I'm going to comment without even watching them yeah I look cool great if you haven't even watch the first two seconds then you you'll find
13:44
you're wrong but fine yeah yeah yeah but yeah but you know you get those
13:51
drive-by uh commenters because they've got nothing better to do yeah we had somebody that wouldn't watch us once
13:56
just because of the colors that Pat had chosen I mean oh no it wasn't serious for the borders around me
14:02
I'll tell you what I want didn't like that color that color well you may notice that the
14:07
lights in the background or if you just lean slightly that way they're teal and orange oh you've been trolling them
14:14
you know for about a year yeah I have the same colors teal and orange
14:20
rights I'm not watching the video because them colors are overused
14:25
yeah yeah I think he yeah he said he was like I've clicked on it just to leave this comment yeah and then I bought
14:31
these they're RGB they can do any color that you want but you've gone orange and I put them on that one
14:38
um I'm not Petty what any victories in every now and then
14:44
right yeah everybody how small they are yeah every time I turn them on I'm just like yeah I've got no messages yeah
14:55
I don't know how this works I mean there's a reason for that color right it's either like purple or green or a
15:01
teal and orange yes that color works so it's called complementary colors yeah
15:06
unfortunately it's a great complementary compliments it is it is overused
15:13
um yeah because it works I think it was
15:19
like when the Star Wars sequels were coming out and they really lent into it
15:24
and then like loads of other films were like oh Star Wars is doing that yeah Aladdin did it and stuff like that yeah
15:29
that was it and then and he was like well and people put like this is such a weird Trilogy and they put the movie
15:35
posters and it was like Aladdin was the first one and then Star Wars was the second one and I can't remember what
15:40
what the other one was yeah yeah that's yeah Yoda doing in Aladdin
15:46
man yeah all the branding was just all the same it was all teal and orange yeah
15:51
like you say it catches people it's like it just looks nice I like having a nice nice background and
15:58
stuff I spend loads of time concentrating on stuff that people don't even notice yeah I feel like they don't yeah but I wonder if I didn't have it
16:03
there would they be like oh it looks a bit [ __ ] there well that's the best slightness you're not you're not
16:08
noticing it actively noticing it it just feels Pleasant to the eye and you said why you wouldn't be able to put your
16:14
finger on it yeah yeah that's the best sort really isn't it I weighs far too much time editing stuff like that yeah a
16:19
music drop and I'm like I was cut to the beach I'm like like no notice or care but I go yeah I like that a bit but I
16:26
bet they would if you didn't well that's it yeah I think you never know right yeah would you like yeah I'll turn this
16:31
big light off there we go and then we'll see how terrible everything works
17:21
ages ago man like 20 years ago and I was an actor from like my teens to my early
17:26
30s my 30s and um they were doing 101 Dalmatians got like a re-release or something so it's like 1001 Dalmatians
17:33
again so they wanted to do like you know the two dogs met each other and that's how the owners man
17:45
it was like the most awkward thing ever it's like fake reality TV right so they go you know we'll record you and it was
17:50
me and they go that dog really get some of yours so you got a woman and like lovely woman but I was 19 she must have been like mid late 40s and they're like
17:56
YouTube great you can walk off together I was like
18:04
this is great like you wander up the street and hold your hands or something I was like yeah
18:10
it's just a weird experience there you go I don't know I mean I dated a pot of uh was it Devlin
18:18
model no and oil first yeah oh yeah I had to do that as a weird thing for a video so you know
18:24
there's stuff in there I remember this they did a Valentine's video where I was like sort of suggestively getting on
18:31
with a pot of paint and I was asked to I've had to take off because it's made my finger sore but I was asked to take my wedding ring off I was like I've
18:36
never taken my wedding ring I feel like yeah but you could for this because you know you're like dating and it'd be weird if you're mad I was like but I am
18:42
married and it's a pot of paint yeah it would have been cooler though if you've been having an affair with a
18:48
possible I think that's what they'll get in there did you get there did you get did you did you pull the pot of paint it
18:53
just went everywhere doesn't normally happen on the first night but it did
18:59
it's such a weird video it was fun but it was so weird just like they're like can you just suggestively like wink and
19:05
kiss at the camera was like this is so weird I don't get paid enough for this we say he's like yeah yeah did you have
19:11
a meal with it like a romantic dinner a romantic dinner yeah then it just I think it got poured over the table for
19:16
some tonight it's a cheap day though it's a cheap date yeah yeah it was a waste of pain with him honest
19:22
with the type of the typhus corrosion if you get my death guard armies on I'll leave my wife for you
19:30
but you're freaking Grime man that's yeah it tastes bad
19:38
yeah I think the enamels really mess up your inside or anything yeah so passion
19:43
project wise with with videos which has been your favorite then that you've done favorite video I've done as a passion
19:49
project not as like numbers and like algorithm and stuff do you know you know I did really enjoy
19:56
the sharp one yeah I got to watch sharp and play the intro yeah yeah that was like that was actually that one
20:02
I really loved I am I really enjoyed actually you know that doing the Avatar came out I got the new Avatar and that for me that's like a
20:08
painting passion like I always had an elder from the early 90s and they always cut the advertise always been [ __ ] right like a little [ __ ] model and yeah it's
20:13
like a mediumship model and that's really because I painted that didn't do like particularly well but it was like my favorite paint job I've ever done
20:20
yeah I really enjoyed it and it was like I've got this cool model that I really like now like that was a really cool so
20:25
I pretend that or sharp maybe and then I did um I do I do enjoy the ball builds I think
20:30
oh no okay it's the 90s one I did the uh 90s terrain using that book yeah
20:36
that was amazing yeah for like a video I I wanted to do more but at the same time you're like you know if they drag on too
20:42
long and it becomes a bit too worky outside you know I'm just gonna leave it there there's like 10 bits of terrain that'll do I'd like to yeah cast and
20:48
stuff but it got to put myself I don't I don't want to like mate so I don't enjoy it but like man that's like my childhood you know yeah yeah we had Eric on a
20:56
um start last year it was like it was Friday oh my day where are we uh we're on Tuesday aren't we so yeah it was last
21:01
week and we had Eric on and we'll talk about that book and stuff and I I think my favorite thing for that was making the hedgerows out of scaring pads yeah
21:08
I've still got that book at home it's such a good resource for it it's great for like you know cheap cheap terrain
21:13
maybe like I had I was gonna do the Hedge with the sky and pass but that's when I was like I don't know like yeah drag this out anymore but um yeah it's
21:19
such a good book even now like sure some of the things we use a bit dated like techniques wise but yeah but even then I
21:25
think like recycling like tubes cardboard tubes 10 straws turn them into like little
21:30
refineries and stuff and something Eric touched on which is like you know it's just buy stuff now and it doesn't show
21:36
like the creative element of like using what you've got yeah to make a cool board as a starting thing and sharing
21:41
that in like white dwarfs and showing that in like uh codex and stuff like this is the starting point and then as time goes on you can buy this senior kit
21:48
by that senior kit this is a good way to get started I mean remember the old old graph tank which was just like a link shower Bowl yeah
21:54
that was so good so I mean yeah granted the kit wasn't available at the time but it's pretty good I don't know this I'm
22:00
gonna have to get it yeah the old used to be like a flat a very flat bottle didn't they yeah they're
22:06
very flat and rounded on the edges so you basically just put it like a flat an apple it's sort of shape yeah yeah like
22:12
a tablet sort of sheep and then you just put it flat and then started sticking guns on it and it looked like a hovering yeah from like Star Wars kind of job
22:19
yeah yeah that sort of feel to me it was so cool one of my old staff members there was a um a set of instructions to
22:26
build a Beyblade and he did it and I felt so bad he built this Beyblade it was amazing did a really good job his
22:31
color scheme was weird because he did all the guns with like a red tip on it was just like you know looks a bit falling don't you yeah and you know you
22:37
got the big plasma cannon there was a um I forget I think it's called the execution which is like Lehman Ross as a
22:43
plasma cannon yeah yeah purple cannon with a big red tape
22:49
jokes he made this bang blade it was all like a plastic card and cardboard it looked really good and you make you got
22:55
like loads of little um you know when you hole punch you get like a little tiny ones he made loads of little rivets out of that a week later they brought
23:01
out the plastic paint like oh you're joking I'm so sorry
23:07
but it's cool to build those things exactly and that that is now it depends like you say like like I I got into that
23:13
being 92 and that like element is missing a little bit yeah right like I feel like everything is quite I suppose
23:19
with the invent of the internet over the last whatever like 15 years of warhammers Boom like the last 10 years on the internet I think now like you
23:24
know everything's kind of it's quite could be quite cut and Pace sometimes it's like oh this is like the strong Army these are the units these are the
23:30
strong models so it ends up a little bit like that that flare yeah possibly it's
23:35
gone a little bit time is different right like it's just I think she's a bit some skills maybe as well because like
23:42
if you look at like military modelers and model Railways um enthusiasts they they use a lot of
23:47
simple methods to make really interesting things and because I'm not into that now yeah that kind of side of
23:54
stuff and I don't get the magazines that I tend to like be fantasy sci-fi um I guess I've narrowed my my
24:00
creativity whereas if I just stopped for a bit and looked at what other people do because one of the the wildest Things I
24:06
never even thought about I was doing like a six scale head I'm probably mentioned on the channel before but um the guy was painting his face and he put
24:12
those alarming medium on it because you can do it with airbrushes it was like if you don't have an airbrush this is the best way to do it see coats he's got like a flashlight coats it all in like
24:18
Laramie medium and then get some red wash flicks it get some purple wash flicks it get some blue wash flicks it
24:25
and then just use that same skin tone really thins it down as a glaze and it just looks like all that oh wow and it
24:30
was just like just a large scale modeling technique yeah instead of just being like a flat flesh it gave texture
24:36
and look like pores on your skin that's awesome and I was like I could do that in a giant because that's large scale
24:41
that worked really well um so stuff like that that you just will miss if you're not paying attention to
24:46
all those different I think so I I mean like one thing I've always been very very like proud of Kira for doing is at the start of she she was never afraid to
24:53
just try something totally new right she tries a lot of like techniques I'd never done she's the assorting something give it a go it might look crap it might not
24:59
work she might not be good at whatever but like I think you learn a lot by doing that you go there's things like this thing's now I'm a bit him away
25:05
sometimes yes I like this that's a good technique that's a good paint and I think unless I tried something and he's
25:10
like airbrushing for me was a huge like hurdle you know a huge milestone that's that's the most successful video on my
25:16
channel actually is an airbrushing how to oddly um but I I really wanted to make it so people weren't afraid to do
25:22
it so I mean I feel like there's a big fear on that yeah yeah I think so yeah it's whatever I had like a 30 quid
25:27
airbrush off Amazon didn't use it for six months um and then go do I give it a go and it's not scary it's a great tool
25:32
to have but like now I I find I really enjoy the airbrush it almost makes me avoid using the brush as much as
25:38
possible so I can airbrush a full model and not touch a brush I'd be happy yeah but the problem is that actually lose your brush skills you know so yeah yeah
25:43
I don't blend as much I think I'll do with the airbrush or contrast um so yeah you lose skills as well if you don't try new things you never like
25:50
you've got to fail right yeah and you learn it I'm terrible for it I've got to be honest I stick in my own ways what what has made me better is sensible bio
25:56
strip and I go oh I'll try this oh it didn't work you can you can go and have a bath and I'll try again yeah a buyer's
26:04
chip is now available at broadside war game would you say it's availablegaming.com
26:22
like that whatever they're called in America it's called like simple green or something like yeah it's
26:27
like paint Blitz it's all this yeah yeah I mean it's brilliant like if you're ruin something like it in elbow grease
26:34
from b m yeah that elbow grease it's like a spray which is basically simple green but the UK version of it I thought
26:41
you're doing those chicks that go get me a can of elbow grease
26:46
you know like a like you spray your juice for your kitchen worktops but yeah just pour some of that into like a old
26:52
Chinese um takeaway tub through your miniature and yeah you have to work a little bit harder with it than you do with bio
26:57
strip but it still does a really good job people's Brown dettols who don't know I I hate that oh cause it comes off like chewinger oh it's so goopy yeah
27:05
Natalie slim um shout out to Natalie she's in uh the Every Mountain but when she's in the Army painted him she used
27:11
to get like a cup and just sprayed like a ceramic cup and just spray a fairy power spray on a plastic bottle didn't
27:17
melt the plastic a fairy power spray will melt your hands yeah yeah I was I was quite proud to myself the
27:24
other week because I actually I was doing the swords and I'd made a bit of an ass of it and I um I literally just
27:29
took some um took some of the bio strip on a old brush and I just just paint I just put it on straight onto the and
27:36
then it was like I've done that awesome yeah let's do that again in future that's away instead they're going oh the
27:41
whole thing yeah it's just a second yeah it is a question you see a lot on the internet right like how do I strip my
27:46
models what's a good product it's like I did a video on bio strip I used to have a sandblasting cabinet actually like a real high power like industrial
27:52
sandblasting cabinet oddly yeah back in the first shoot it here and Grantham I used that and you think that would wreck the model so it doesn't such a fine grit
27:58
yeah I even I sandblasted my um Forge World primarks uh Ferris Madison
28:04
but I did it in the video I was like there's no way I was like you know what I know it works I've done it a lot I thought there you go blasted though out
28:10
and they go Jesus like it does work so there's lots of ways to do it but like easy ways I've been doing a lot of metal because I've got a lot of second edition
28:15
models again that's like great in methane Spirit right just dunk it in yeah it's done
28:20
um and then things like Plastics and resins bioship done right yes yes products and it's it's money saving as
28:26
well isn't it you don't know yeah wasting models yeah I I'm because you're talking about using airbrush I enjoyed that video where you talk about space
28:31
means you do like all the different techniques and stuff have you seen the new technique that's going around someone illuminated is on I think it was
28:38
on live stream which is like I mean I do all the time for like did it with Sarge's cloak but using sponge to lay
28:45
down the base coats then do like the edge highlights because it's like it's weird but works quite nice Flex
28:50
typically sponging yeah yeah it's an interesting it's probably gonna be like you know gonna get a lot of stick being
28:55
the new slap job but if you can come up with a new cool name for it we'll do a video going the sponge and it's called
29:01
the this oh and then a million people are watching we'll call it dogging okay yeah why not
29:13
you get the peg to hold the SpongeBob yeah
29:19
that's the consultation feed um I love like sponging that's something
29:25
I just got it to my brother he's a uh both of my presentation but one of them is a really really good painter and he um he was talking about the last my
29:31
favorite those ultramarines I did was like his technique yes I use like sponging so like you're not Edge highlighting is a bit that could be
29:37
quite tough particularly if you're not like at that Adept with the brush as a new person you know you learn okay this is what games I should say bass whatever
29:43
highlight highlight and you end up with these just horrible thick highlights everywhere like a sponge sponge like the
29:48
lightest color on you get a bit of weathering you get like a nice Edge I mean you don't have to like highlight every element but if it was a bit
29:54
battered as well yeah a bit more real actually I like the clean look but if it's the easier like you don't you can't
29:59
mess it up yeah really whereas that edge of yeah whole model so it's such a nice
30:04
way to do that and it looks good yeah it's like with um been inspired by him visiting him using their Byron's uh
30:11
artist Opus um dry brushing start to get some really great Edge highlight and just using them as well it's just it's
30:16
just so much just so fast yes stippling on and then you know and then if you do you can actually just
30:23
highlights on them really really easily as well yeah I don't know like whether they're kind of interchangeable now I'd
30:29
be like dry brushing over brushing whatever you want to call it yeah those things like just flip up the back of the legs and I actually watched the video
30:34
with Byron and he's was saying it's great advice in there right he knows he knows his his dry Bush and stuff yeah but you know dry brushing's always
30:40
assumed to be this chalky horrible mess right doesn't have to be yeah yeah it's a great technique and um yeah I recently did um uh Darth Maul
30:48
I want to do like an alternate what if version Lovely by the way thank you I never finished uh I've done it because
30:55
she's got two blades when she was a Padawan she uh she had a green lightsaber all right then she turns to the dark side uh because her master gets
31:02
killed and Dooku takes over but then later on she's on a Questa free Quinlan Voss
31:20
the plan is to do all the characters in the reverse sort of style so like all the Republic as separatists and vice
31:27
versa Star Wars yeah Darth Maul with blue lightsabers yes so I've done it with double blue I've done him like it
31:32
in like pale sort of like robes but I added a bit more texture to his cloth than is because our driver was pretty
31:38
much most the model um using like Byron's technique and stuff but I was purposely more jokey with the robes to
31:43
give it that kind of Hessian sort of like yeah it looks really good definitely gives it texture but is yeah
31:49
there it is yeah oh man Darth Maul is that is very good as a goodie you know what I like is the fact that
31:55
it's like robot legs but Clone Trooper likes all at once it's got a really nice feel about it if he's gonna get Republic
32:00
you might as well paint them white right yeah absolutely right but I personally didn't do all the black he said it looks like it matches the leg Greaves that the
32:06
the store that the Jedi wear as well it's a lovely because that's why I did the shoulders so yeah I know it only
32:12
goes on one side but I didn't both because it looked quite nice yeah because then he magically got robot legs yeah yeah he falls down a giant hole
32:19
yeah we're crossing gets a bit stabbed and he's like oh I'm dead yeah
32:25
and then he gets chopped in half and sit down and yeah but you know the really funny figures of all places today when I
32:31
was having a coffee while I was waiting for you at the train station a guide spotted me in a stormtrooper t-shirt working and he was instantly running to
32:36
Star Wars mode and he went oh did you like the Obi-Wan series it was okay I said yeah I said bits of it we're a good
32:42
bet and all doesn't he I said the thing that did get me though was just like that you know Qui-Gon gets a lightsaber
32:48
through the stomach dead oh yeah two people get elected but through the stomach and Obi-Wan Kenobi live I was
32:53
like it's just a bit after [ __ ] fly to another planet chases some kid into the desert she's like
32:58
she's like oh right and the other guy the um the the grand Inquisitor oh yeah
33:04
because she stabbed him as well and he was like oh it was a bit Yeah he was stabbed here yeah maybe maybe everyone
33:12
knows about all the important bits are a bit like yeah his heart is actually right down here
33:18
yeah it's all right stop okay yeah he's actually a glowing blue he's just some
33:23
weird sort of radiation Space Marine plays now it's called plot armor yeah
33:29
grandson because he went I'll survive this I've got an invulnerable I've got an iron Halo it's fine I can't
33:36
wait to get into the Star Wars stuff I love I like Star Wars Clone Wars I keep mean to get into all that I've got some
33:41
major models I've got like there's loads of games that I'd love to do more of on the channel I say the more like passionism I see Skyrim fall out Star
33:47
Wars there's so many of those Brands out there now which I love right yeah yeah never really get the time you know yeah I know I'm gonna be a bit naughty and
33:53
I've I played chat Point really kit um took a while to get understand the rules I quite like Legion but I because I love
34:00
war crying how the rules work and there's uh places like Optimal game state where you can just make your own cars I'm just getting photos of my Star
34:06
Wars figures and give them Warcraft rules I'm playing Star Wars why not as I've said no one boots your door down
34:11
today yeah you've got two couples coming after you
34:43
yeah I know there was other things but I mean even then they weren't that great you know the closest you can get was
34:48
like ethics yeah for like historicals and then it wasn't until like the Perrys moved on and started doing their own
34:53
thing and then as time's gone on you've got like warlord games which are an offshoot it's like literally where old staff goes yeah when they leave they're
35:00
like I'm gonna go to warlord or Mantic um yeah so it's yeah but there's a lot
35:05
of my choice was 3D printing as well more things becoming available more licenses get picked up like the industry's growing so there's like my
35:11
choice of people so you know like if you like just the painting then there's probably something out there for you you know
35:17
um what got you into the hobby I was I was two older brothers so they
35:22
would have been like I was like I know that feeling by the way oh yeah yeah do you know what I mean the little
35:28
the little women boy yeah that's my job but um yeah they've got into it I forget they must have seen
35:34
like with white dwarf magazines right there was there wasn't internet whatever then so it's white dwarf magazine so he used to go get down the local shop look
35:39
at those oh this is cool this is cool so I got a pack of and we went in with my two brothers and parents or whatever and we went and got a pack of the Elder
35:45
Guardians um my brother got some jeans Steelers oh he's got Guinness stellers at the time and their mother brother got the next
35:50
guard uh not a death company um your death company box so he just got into those and then I don't think I
35:56
think throughout my entire life I've never not not done it like whether I've been touring or whatever I've been doing
36:01
they've always it's like it's always been a good like like mind break a little bit different now I've kind of
36:06
turned it into a job yeah it's it's changed the hobby or certainly my passions but um it's always been there
36:11
as something I've always done you know it's always a safety net the models will never leave you know whatever's gone on in life
36:19
okay I can just sit and do this for two hours tonight I don't think about someone else do that whatever and so
36:24
like the stories and all that kind of stuff all the old books the old pictures like so actually recently I managed to
36:30
cost me like more than it probably shouldn't have to find some new inbox stuff so I gifted both my brothers their original sets brand new inbox and I've
36:36
got a load of the Elder was my first unit but the space was my first Army so I found like a new inbox
36:41
um beyond the fell handed long fangs whatever I've got the old codexes I
36:46
think I've got nearly everything now that's from Second Edition all the codexes got the box recently in new enough new condition one just start with
36:52
anyone this is a battle code I think that's what I'm missing now about everything so it's like that's
37:00
it's always been there I think and something me and my two brothers over the years no matter where we've been have always kind of connected over so we
37:06
have our little toy chat group and whatever's going on you can say oh how's how's the hobby going yeah it's been a
37:11
lovely connector really for that did you often play a lot with each other then yeah yeah all the time I mean
37:16
um we were in warhammad last week actually I wasn't playing but they played the doubles together and we used to do a lot of Paris heresy events but I
37:22
used to go to Fantasy events I mean back then like Games Workshop were were the only places I could play yeah it's where I kind of grew up
37:28
um and then we used to go to you know get the bus to games day you know yeah yeah and he used to get like I
37:36
entered the young I actually broke my arm um on the way there as a kid I was like 11 I think at 12. I took over a
37:42
step was at the NEC I had made an air for profit test like yeah I converted one and painted that again and I um was
37:49
in the queue I was like an accident pranking break my neck arm legs everything ribs crap I'm like somehow I
37:54
was still walking around um I was in the queue and I just tripped every step landed whatever broke my arm
38:00
up a bit popped out wrist went and smashed my model and it was that was like nine in the morning so you know my
38:06
parents get the call oh there's been an accident oh Jesus it's Oliver isn't it yeah yeah what's he done now he's broken his arm we'll get you back home is that
38:12
all yeah they were like all right you know I said to them I was like I just I I just got
38:17
here like I'm I don't want to go home yeah so I have my two brothers is like the security guards basically you know
38:23
yeah yeah it's me like this on my arm popping out oh my God I got the bus home yeah I stayed there all day
38:31
there was a spaceful character that year I don't know 98 or something a space of kite then I was like go get me that so
38:37
he bullies his way to the French on me like it was and pushy chubby limited one so yeah all day or the broken arm went
38:43
home was like that's my dedication yeah I know that is Hobby kudos to you for that yeah smash
38:49
my model there yeah I uh my only Brady German battle injury was it was all the staff before I can't remember what games
38:55
day was now it's probably like 2012 2011 or something like that and they normally before the staff go to games day they
39:02
have like a burger a lot of like copper breakfast cup of tea before you get it because it's like really early in the morning because you've got to get there get set up and stuff and I was just
39:08
having a bacon cob and my tooth just cracked whilst I was eating it and I was in pain for most of the day because I
39:14
was like I've got to go I've got I can't do anything with it so yeah a couple of like paracetamols and that was it so
39:20
painful though oh yeah because at that time I think my wisdom tooth was coming in horizontally and it just cracked the
39:25
tooth that it was moving into so that that Latifa just cracked and just fell to Pieces while at the softest thing in
39:31
the world yeah bread yeah cob or Bap or whatever right yeah
39:40
whatever you want everyone's the Midlands Nottingham I think is Carl cob
39:46
cob um I'd call it a bun yeah
39:51
that's contention [Music] the hobby chat stops now now
39:58
you made the real the real talk now yeah one's cops baps bomb cake yeah yeah tea
40:03
cakes I've heard as well some bread yeah oh my God
40:09
she says the Tea cake a tea cake is a literal its own thing yeah it's the marshmallow chocolate Tea cake thing oh
40:15
no yeah we're talking the other ones like the um someone also questions that they're also
40:22
known as tea cakes or North East do they say stotty or is that its own thing I think a stotties
40:29
its own thing oh okay yeah isn't it like soggy don't mind me well I just eat my Cube
40:41
Liverpool which was like when the uh at the end of the day if the Bakers had things they hadn't sold they chop them
40:48
all back up again and they'd make a new type of cake out of the bits and it was called the Dockers wedding cake it was
40:54
the densest thing in the world you know if you put a slice down near a cup of tea it would just drink the tea
41:03
yeah no more comments we've got it yeah it
41:08
looks like this really dense cake but it's like you know one slice to go we go what's one for ten nothing I probably
41:14
only eat for three or four days yeah oh that's incredible it's actually a
41:22
great timing I did bring you a gift so obviously English but living in iron a couple of years now I've learned a few
41:27
don't offend all the Irish people because I can't do it I can't do an Irish accent I won't I won't ever but I live in Ireland down the South there's a
41:33
few things are you by the way I'm about an hour north of Galway oh wow so you're a fan on the west you're afraid you're
41:38
afraid Trump town then yeah yeah halfway down a bit yeah um but I bought you some I bought some Irish stuff oh so
41:44
interesting it can be a full box but I did bring you one Barry's team tea bag right now
42:20
because I served in an Irish regiment oh yeah um and mostly Northern irish guys but
42:26
they still were a big fan of them and tato was like it was tato or death it
42:31
was just that was the only Christmas to talk about I have learned there's that there's there's a there's a divide there's a fight on there's tato versus
42:38
Northern Irish potato and they're different the man's different both called potatoes really yeah that's a big
42:44
debate Northern Irish potato cheese and onion are phenomenal I would say I've got a
42:50
multi bag but Smoky bacon I've never seen Smoky bacon tato but the other two cheese and onion in there you're very
42:57
good I bought some Irish stuff potatoes yeah the potato man so it's um
43:12
I got my own school jacket I can do this get like AliExpress potatoes
43:23
that's not me you know I don't know Barry see no snack
43:28
bars sure potato yeah you know oh you won't be allowed back in I know
43:34
Kira does have a Walkers though so it's that table Kings as well there's all these debates over there I'm only I'm
43:40
only new to it but my lad's a fan of I introduce them by accident because they're my favorite Chris prawn cocktail he refers to his pink crisps is that
43:47
pink crisps cocktail are a very strong Christmas [Music] isn't it just ketchup yeah they're so
43:53
good it's like such a lie very very good as a body have you ever had um Brussels sprout crisps because I
44:00
haven't I do like brussels sprouts yeah I like I say there's a thing there's I've heard this for I was talking to one
44:06
of the uh catering staff at Workshop a few years back because I'm a big fan of Brussels sprouts like does no one else
44:11
eat brussels sprouts what's wrong with them is that weirdly there's a there's a chemical in it that just puts people off yeah you guys are drawn to it yeah yeah
44:19
yeah now that was a great crisp but I'm still bereft when Walker stopped doing
44:24
the bar at the Marmite crisp yeah because I think Marmite have just started making loads of their own stuff haven't they yeah yeah butter and all
44:31
sorts yeah no Marmite peanut butter I like peanut butter I like Marmite the two together is ungodly I I I can live
44:37
with it I've got to be honest I've not tried it and I love both of those elements if I make the knickknacks or whatever it's called you know the crisps
44:44
that sort of flavor I kind of hate it but don't mind it I don't know yeah get back to the drunker you are I think
44:50
that's it my eyes are right now yeah yeah there's mixed bowls you know the the Bombay mix
44:56
that I just eat that yeah you know what you wouldn't believe how horrendously
45:03
compared to like two handfuls of Bombay mixes like about the equivalent of like a 12 inch pizza
45:16
can we get back to the normal Comfort yes we saw with like a mouthful of Barbies
45:24
could be worse it's not bad yeah someone in the world it will be watching this
45:30
eating a pizza um and I just want to applaud that person yeah someone in the world is out there eating the pizzas
45:47
oh dear so you have a hobby shop right there we go yeah there we go
45:56
waffles were famous for yeah uh how how did you ever know like how did that come
46:01
into being uh it wasn't always the plans I I like I started the channel um here in when I was living in Nassim
46:08
in Grantham so I was there for about a year had a little unit out there and um I started it because of like like my
46:14
passion for the hobby right I wanted people to feel comfortable doing stuff I wanted to like I don't know there's so many people can
46:20
come at like a like a positive Internet space right like I'm not one for Doom and Gloom yeah we have enough of that in
46:26
life right I think so yeah you know what you know I'm never going to be there going oh everything's awful whatever it's always going to be like if I don't
46:32
like something if I don't think someone's good show I'll tell you but if I don't like something I won't do something about it just because I don't like it yeah
46:38
it can cost your views it can cost you whatever but at the end of the day like I don't want to waste my time my time doing something I hate and only for the
46:44
to spend any I want to head to bed Joy right and like get people into it that's always been my passionate I feel like there was a long period there when I was
46:50
a kid Games Workshop reading was was kind of great it was a great hobby space yeah Alan Jeff
46:56
um Paul all those managers back in the 90s were like let's talk about them now right 25 years later yeah they're a good
47:02
like part of my life and um then there was like a 10 15 year period before when I'm a TV I think when the company was
47:07
obviously going through a change from a hobby thing to a business and I felt like they took the brakes off like any
47:13
hobby stuff I didn't wasn't very Community orientated there was none of that it was all like a sales sales you're going to a shopping is that right
47:19
buy this you're like oh I don't like it we'll buy it you're like Germany became kind of that way yeah it swung back again now with with use of YouTube and
47:25
whatever and people like yourself right you've been a big person in the community to get people into it so it's you know yeah that's like what you've
47:32
brought to the community and I see what you guys do it's it's you know is there's some painting get that done chat have a biscuit like it's it's relaxed
47:39
it's comfortable it's important so like that's where I started the channel and then I moved to Ireland um and I I needed a studio space so I
47:47
was actually in a barn I was in like uh my partner Kira's parents like they had like an outhouse so it was it was great
47:52
it looked great lovely wall these nice friends but you literally could put your hand through the wall and there's a hole
47:59
in the wall like Farm yeah there's the episodes of you in like November with like four coats was it
48:06
Luke came over set at the studio in November I remember like ice I've got red nose I'm like okay
48:17
oh Jesus like this is it was it was too cold so a year later I am is this broadsword game no or or is this a scene
48:23
from the thing to show people um I was actually
48:30
I am I was working now but I work as a social care worker as well so I do that 24-hour stints 10
48:36
a.m till 10 a.m it's kind of a you know quite like done that for a long time did that yeah I've always done that and um
48:41
you know I made what I could but like finding places to rent a studio yeah it was tough so I found a space it's
48:46
they're cheap and I use that as a shop now so I got upstairs I made into a student I thought well I didn't have a shop at the time but it gives people something to play there's no way to play
48:52
in Ireland I feel like I'm waffling now but Jordan there's no there's no way so like in in that part of the country
48:58
there's there's not much support for the hobby right we've got Dublin which is great and you got caught but they're three four hours away from me so where I
49:05
am this where do people play nowhere but as a teenager that's or a young kid that's that's a shame right because it's
49:10
a great hobby so I did the channel and then I ended up stocking uh okay after like brexit happened it's hard to post
49:18
from England to Europe it's expensive yeah handling whatever all that's a bit of a mess so Luke from Geek gaming they
49:24
needed someone to chips me you products and I'll do it then I've got space and all against Atlantic um Hudson over
49:29
there I've got a load of air stuff so I started shipping and selling their stuff and then I thought well I've got these two now and then it became more I
49:34
couldn't just go in on an evening do a few and go it became a little bit more I think a few more orders now um I'm at work I've got the channel I've
49:41
only got the time so I was like I guess now we kind of like go in or don't do it anymore yeah
49:47
let's go in so I've got Mantic stuff in and then I got the Games Workshop Rack in and then sort of grown over there and
49:53
Akira's been there now nearly two years she's been working she's working the pharmacy and Boots so she left that and she's been there for a couple of years
49:59
and um got that because when we needed someone to do stuff yeah but it opened a few days covered lockdown closed
50:05
finished that like do I mean it was good to sort of grown really yeah the initial plan but now it's great we get like
50:11
families coming the other day it was like a it's retail at the end of the day right so retail's tough even it's a hobby
50:17
changes your passion into a job yeah but um we had some some kids come in with the family they're like what 12 14 I
50:23
look like an eight-year-old and it's kind of reminded me of my brothers and they came in and they were like oh this is amazing we did like a painting day with them how to play stuff and they
50:29
came back and the dad was like my kids have never gotten on so well thank you so much talking to that kind of thing and I was
50:35
like you know what like that's why I started it yeah that's why I did the shop yeah part of me sure it's a business and it's it's a shop and it
50:42
needs to support itself but that's why really it's like give people somewhere it's an outlet right for people it was always awkward as a kid growing up I got
50:48
bullied a lot of school and games much was a bit like shame yeah shame right I'll be shaking yeah go on the bus but oh my God I'm like turn the you know the
50:55
Hobbies have the eagle turn it inside yeah people don't see that yeah I've all been there right what I find really really weird is the chess club was
51:01
higher in the team yeah than what we were yeah what was lower like nothing just like
51:07
did you do Warhammer but I told the story that I attended if I told you we were just when it was me and Papa one of
51:13
my customers um plays on a football team for gay guys and he's a straight guy on
51:18
it because they have to have you know a bit of diversity on the flip side of it and one of the guys he plays football
51:23
with is a servant Soldier on the side I had no problems coming out as a
51:30
homosexual in the Army but I've still not come out as I will have a place
51:40
but like I didn't even like Ben yeah that's fine and then there's these two soldiers what you mean
51:47
but it's that right and it's not mentality in that stigma I think and like people you know not everyone fits
51:53
into whatever when you're younger so it's great to have there we've got a real diverse group it's lovely having Kira in the shop because it's like
52:02
you know it's lovely having that and um yeah we have a good diverse group of people it's a nice safe space for people
52:08
to come in yeah you do whatever so it's all that really is is the community building side do you say you still do
52:14
social work as well yeah do you get time to sleep now this was something I was going to
52:19
raise so like just in this conversation I'm like okay there was acting there's you said touring that's music
52:27
so there's the YouTube there's the shop and there's the social care so it's not like five jobs yeah
52:37
jobs yeah I mean but when I went before I moved to Ireland I was here and I were like long
52:42
distance right giving Nottingham she lived there it took about a year and a half so I used to fly a dead cheap
52:47
flight not right you said like stuff you can fly to knock near me about 20 minutes away 10 15 quid I got a 16 Euro
52:54
return once yeah from airport you can do that from Stan instead of Liverpool Manchester if they want to come to visit the shop you can um fly over food yeah
53:01
yeah nothing cheaper than Derby to Nottingham to here like we'll tell you what
53:07
compared to sometimes the car parking in Nottingham it probably cheapest come on buy from your shop
53:35
so it's brilliant really and but I was doing a lot of traveling so back before we moved I guess like lockdown kind of
53:41
closed off I did a lot of like singing I used to do um like Wedding Singer as well singer as well singing yeah wedding
53:46
singing what I was doing for a lot of times oh yeah when anything you have the channel before I moved around the shop I used to go to like weddings and do like
53:53
um like singing surprise that the company's called oh were you a singing waiter yeah so you have to do a bit of
53:59
potential drinks in that right and then I hate singing races
54:05
on your side right yeah yeah yeah it gets in the way more than no noise well I'll tell you what no I don't I don't
54:11
hate singing waiters but um it's sometimes it's like you do a really really busy day and you're like
54:17
to sit down and the worst one is when uh because if the bride or the groom bucket
54:23
usually they tell me yeah um but it's like when a family member and I go oh I can't wait to have five
54:31
minutes and then you hear the clatter of Cutlery and go oh no someone's falling
54:36
over yeah yeah and then the singing starts but some of them are brilliant I
54:41
have to say my mate uh Aston we've sung together for years we've the bands back in the whatever when I was like 15. yeah
54:48
it's amazing so we did a lot with him with his company and um yeah that's like great fun but that a lot of driving
54:54
right a lot of traveling yeah it's like yeah it is for five hours it takes you
54:59
nine hours to get there four hours to get back next place around pubs as well at the same time for up in Leeds and
55:04
Matlock area busy time do you know what I mean so yeah I meant to have gone right I did two years of grinding let's
55:09
get back to Ireland and
55:15
my Prime editing filming time is like 10 a.m to like so 10 P.M to like 3 A.M it's like right it's up at seven work for ten
55:21
and that's insane like um you need one of them you know in 2008 the the judges
55:26
have a sleep machine where they have like 30 minutes and it gives them like eight hours
55:34
yeah yeah it's a lot right but it's best you've got like it's like a Hobby's quite all-encompassing so yeah with the
55:40
shot you kind of get it on all fronts right I meet like new people uh or I see like the YouTube stuff or you get chop
55:45
things and all the kind of people and the different mixes it's a lot all the time so yeah social media's always beeping up like what like ready five
55:51
Instagram Pages whatever and then you know we've seen you at salute so you're also doing shows yeah because you've got
55:59
shows to get in and all that as well I don't even manage it man yeah I know it's a lot right but hopefully this year maybe we get to the point where I can
56:05
can start to chill he's off on some bits right yeah it's a couple with two and a half years in as the shop now four and a half years
56:11
in his channel Kira's streaming uh hopefully we can we can find a bit of time maybe yeah um I did see um like one of Kira's streams
56:19
and she was like oh I've I've got to be quiet or a bit quieter because uh because Ollie's recording the vo for for
56:25
a new video that's right and then and then like an hour later it was on YouTube and I was like wow he's grinding
56:33
Sunday like 3pm is like my release time it's like no it's 2 59 I'm going yeah yeah upload come on yeah
56:40
yeah it's it's it's good but it's grindy about it YouTube's grindy isn't it yeah it's lovely but you know it's it's a
56:48
Fickle Beast as well it is yeah it goes from Hobby to job very quickly it does yeah people often ask me like you know
56:53
do you still enjoy the Hobby and I think my with the shop what I like has changed now like it's not I don't really hobby myself like a video I've got how many
57:00
boxes I've got where I've done three sharp models and the rest of the boxes there yeah then three squats the rest of the boxes there right I never really finish anything but now I get genuine
57:08
enjoyment out of like other people coming in new to it and they're in there you know I'm like hard selling I don't wouldn't sell something didn't want or
57:14
anything like that it's nice to be able to do that and introduce back what I had as a kid yeah yeah the new nice feels
57:21
you know yeah when you're talking about retail that's when it changed for me because I was in retail at the time when they moved from like the the chilled out
57:26
hobby conversations to the Hard Sell yeah and that's like when myself and Duncan were just like that's not for us
57:31
yeah yeah so buy these Miniatures yeah and it's like you had these kpis that were felt quite unreasonable at times
57:37
and you know you had to like hit so many white dwarf subs and sell so many oh do seven intros which then led to so many
57:44
core games if you didn't do some Adventures you won't get this amount of core games but you've done loads of intros but you've not done this enough core games your intros must be rubbish
57:49
right we need to have a conversation about your intros you're like oh my God Life's Too Fleming sure for this yeah I'm playing intros for people that want
57:56
to come and have some fun um not and yes it's a business you've got to make money but at the same time it's like it became
58:02
soulless too oh yeah yeah I think I did nine one
58:07
day at one of our things I thought but by the end of it the thing people would forget is like you could see numbers I'd
58:12
like run a load of intros on a Saturday and I'm still running intros so the person that's gone to get the core games gone to another staff member who now
58:18
records that as there about that kind of stuff so you're just like that's my core game like yeah well
58:25
I'm pulling it through so it's mine it's like how many trees you've done this week too and you sold 45 core games yeah
58:30
good job really good intros yeah yeah I didn't think about that I don't have
58:36
that pressure on me the pressure is is Financial life yeah have a bad week I
58:41
you know bad pre-order even like we're so Reliant really a shop song it's like you know magic and cards and stuff is great that's a good like to tell you but
58:47
yeah game Pusher pre-orders man it's like it's Saturday yeah you know if it's a sigma one or some books like I love
58:53
interesting mile but it doesn't sell as well if it's not space movies basically you go in our garden it's beans this week
59:01
yeah leviathan's out awesome yeah that'd be a good pre-order and then you go on next
59:06
week it's three three books in a dwarf model like they've never sold a dwarf do you know what I mean like yeah yeah yeah so it's yeah so it's it's very hit and
59:14
miss and YouTube's kind of the same isn't it yeah but I do enjoy it I do still you know I
59:23
um less thing you know weddings yes don't annoy him with with wedding singing you're dead to me but that's
59:31
always been like my true passion is like singing the music and that kind of stuff so I enjoyed that the YouTube side I couldn't get a job as an actor so I'll
59:36
make my own one yeah like um but like you know yeah it's nice it's all kind of interchangeable right and I
59:42
can step away and in and out when I want a bit more pressure now with with the financial stuff but you know with YouTube ultimately if I don't want to do
59:47
it for a week you don't have to I'd have to right yeah um but yeah that's the thing being only me whereas at least a collective he's
59:54
got each other to talk to but like I was saying a little bit isolated in Ireland because there's not many other Irish creators that sitting on my side there's
1:00:01
yeah there's them like Markov is only he's over I thinking yeah yeah he's he's over there but I
1:00:09
don't I know I'm still a bit of a track yeah but there you go I I spoke a little bit Jordan means I I
1:00:15
could be loved to get involved with a few more people so it's nice to come over here like it helps you with the hype right yeah
1:00:21
it's cold I can't wait to come and do videos now yeah I've been away for a few days itching to yeah to do some projects so it's so it's lovely for that and I
1:00:28
suppose having a few of you to chapter as well keeps you yeah keeps you hyped yeah yeah more toys yeah yeah more toys
1:00:34
yeah paint more toys yeah the question didn't you thank you today I don't know it's gone
1:00:40
now senior moments I'm all good it'll come back to me I've got one but I've got one but I'll I'll
1:00:46
go in with the question when we've got questions oh yeah yeah we asked uh as we
1:00:51
do we ask our patreon supporters uh some questions and I always have to preface this by saying they're as silly as we
1:00:58
are of course um so um yeah there's just some of them uh
1:01:05
serious questions some of them are just hey I've seen your stuff thank you and then uh some of them are like what's your favorite cheese that's all right um
1:01:12
that will probably come on so we'll do that now what is your favorite cheese I don't know if anyone's asked that okay it's Wednesday with cranberry oh that is
1:01:19
yeah I've got good memories of that that's a nice one I'm a cheese man so I like any cheeses really yeah that's the
1:01:25
problem I have is I don't realize I like any cheese till everybody gives their answer and I go oh that's good I've said
1:01:31
that every week yeah
1:01:36
if somebody went oh just to just a mature cheddar I'd be like hmm like it's
1:01:42
a good staple but I don't know if it would be my favorite you know it's the sauces that get pesto on there that with
1:01:48
Pez cracker with you know with a bit of pesto on all like the chutneys and stuff well this is it it's yeah it's a good
1:01:54
it's a building block yeah it's a base isn't it yeah yeah but it's on its own does it Shine without anything else I
1:02:02
got um one of my customers who I will name because he has the greatest name ever he's Nottingham born and bred but
1:02:09
his father's Italian and his name is Sergio Canta La Mesa
1:02:14
sports car it's just a beautiful name does he Rock up and be like here's a bacon cob
1:02:20
he goes to Italy whenever he comes back he just brings me a massive block of
1:02:26
Italian parmesan and he always says put it in the free best way in the freezer and then he says when you're putting on
1:02:32
a salad just use a potato peeler on it and it's like you know you're going oh that salad probably needs about six oh
1:02:38
and then probably needs six uh he'll probably needs six
1:02:45
so parmesan in a packet but you know fresh oh it's amazing yeah yeah pocket
1:02:51
parser yeah uh lovely so uh our first question says have you played famous by
1:02:57
our swords it's an Irish Skirmish game which is like arith Irish mythology plus
1:03:03
Byzantine Empire plus demons
1:03:09
I've got a Roman legionary stabbing Medusa with a demon
1:03:16
uh Famous by our swords it's a good name as well I almost sounds like a band out
1:03:22
a band as well or the name of an album doesn't it I'll take that for a band name yeah yeah and I know how do I know
1:03:28
it sounds good though I'm always happy to keep getting here again yeah um uh what are daily Miniatures asks
1:03:35
hardest thing about running a brick and mortar hobby store hmm
1:03:44
I think like obviously that you end up with more overheads so there's more pressure yeah more business it's not
1:03:51
like you know I can just have a bad weekend just ship it from the bedroom and it doesn't matter like there's like
1:03:56
costs there's insurance it's whatever the staff to pay stuff like that so I think there's a lot of pressure
1:04:02
um as the Sole Provider as well for the with Kira working there now there's a lot of pressure that way
1:04:08
um no it's just a general I think just running a business yeah like if any business I think is is equal problems
1:04:16
probably yeah and then he also asks as a secondary follow-up question The Cheeky little rascal uh what's your favorite
1:04:22
old Hammer miniature of all time I don't know where are you guys on that
1:04:28
what's my favorite well it's definitely some dwarf related because that was my first is that yeah dwarf Hammer I think yeah
1:04:33
little metal dwarf hammers you get like four in a blister pack that's my first one I ever had I don't know enough about
1:04:39
they're just old Hammer to have a favorite yeah I never I never painted
1:04:44
one I always loved I know it's like quite a few people too but I know the Green Knight oh yeah oh you've taught me
1:04:50
answer Everyone likes it though who didn't like that model it's amazing model it's so good I've never painted one though so I
1:04:57
thought the Green Knight was the first Model that uh Alan sculpted not Alan Michael sculpted had his arm blown off
1:05:03
uh someone corrected me in the comments and I'm not sure if it's totally true but there's a raphanced deleonis which
1:05:08
is like the Joan of Arc that apparently was the first one oh what was that thing I I because obviously my my fantasy
1:05:15
knowledge is sketchy the thing that was sort of look like he was sort of like a bit like pan but then had like big
1:05:21
antlers that's Orion Orion yeah which is a beautiful message one of his excellent yeah
1:05:32
there was a vampire cat model actually he was one of the red count or something there's a bit like
1:05:38
the plutonium model he was awesome do you know what I mean he read you yeah he's on a horse is that yeah he was cool
1:05:44
um was it archeon yeah no he's the chaos dude yeah that was a lovely yeah that was a lovely
1:05:51
miniature and there's always that one hour they never redid it and I never got hold of him it was called arbo The
1:05:56
Undefeated he did get defeated a lot from what I understand yeah well they're
1:06:02
useless I just taken that down to Citizens advice Bureau this minutes has been
1:06:08
called sometimes he was riding a it looked like a big
1:06:16
um flash hound and he was it was basically a spiky chaos Warrior but he was the same era as when they did archon
1:06:22
and some of the metal I don't remember him demon Prince and stuff are both undefeated
1:06:27
uh spen's painting oh yeah um good lad yeah the the uh Mr tricking game himself
1:06:34
I didn't know it was in the patreon that's awesome yeah recent Heist fans um love you work uh what advice would
1:06:40
you have for anyone struggling to balance content Creation with work and other life commitments I think something
1:06:46
I don't do but should do more you do need to make a bit of time for yourself right I've started for me like if you
1:06:53
get too much into it like not that I'm a mad like Fitness buff but like certainly health is like deteriorated right it's a
1:06:59
very static job as an editing painting you're not moving yeah it's moving dance the thing about and whatever don't do
1:07:04
that as much now so I'm trying to like get back to the gym trying to drop a few pounds do you mean like yeah like I think and that's a nice space away yeah
1:07:11
I do think make a bit of time for yourself away from it because with the shop and everything it's there all the time you check an email that you
1:07:16
shouldn't check email at 1am or a message comes through or something so like taking a bit of time away and I
1:07:22
would say certainly you know the the kids getting older and I don't don't
1:07:27
waste those yeah I mean don't waste everyone come back right yeah exactly I think that's really important that's not a horrible I say horrible it's like a
1:07:33
sort of a percentage like when your child is like one to twelve that's like 80 of the time you're spent with them
1:07:39
after that it gets and then yeah yeah I think there was some essentially some
1:07:44
graphs that were yeah the average time you spend with family with friends with partners with children and this that and
1:07:50
the other it was quite interesting and you know my I've got a 15 year old
1:07:56
boy if he you know I only see him if he needs to feed him yeah yeah yeah that's it they got the age where they don't
1:08:01
want to torture which is great like Johnny for everybody
1:08:06
just communicates in a series of grunts clicks and whistles really you know he sends your message give me a pizza
1:08:13
you don't have any real you don't have any real conversation with him normally you say something he rolls his
1:08:19
eyes mumbles and walks off and that's generally how it goes really yeah yeah I think if you're content creating for
1:08:25
like for fun um don't put too much pressure yourself a lot of people say I must do one a week gotta do this in your self-imposed deadlines yeah you know
1:08:30
I'll try another video on a Sunday afternoon but life happens and if I go it's not happening don't worry about it I used to be like I'm gonna stay up 24
1:08:37
hours 40 hours editing yeah I mean get it done it's not worth it put your mind first yeah I think so yeah
1:08:44
yeah no very good uh what's the moment since you started your channel and store that's a point of Pride for you
1:08:52
hmm I think for me the main reason was like helping people right so like like the
1:08:58
airbrush video that's mentioned earlier like a lot of people I think found that useful so they're like oh thanks so much
1:09:03
she's really helped me go for my fear of this and that's the main thing I want to do is like break down any of those things but I did like the streaking grandmother and it's popular but like
1:09:09
people haven't heard of it or like oils or anything yeah anything that's like just just do it yeah it's not scary it's
1:09:15
not bad yeah you know like just that and also most importantly it's not cheating it's not she ever because everybody's
1:09:22
cheating right what are you talking about it's a tools I value nothing more than my time it's
1:09:28
just another tool in your toolbox yeah you know yeah it's great yeah there are some purists out there that think it has
1:09:34
to be base coat layer layer Edge highlights there's probably a purist out there that
1:09:40
also thinks what they're doing is cheating yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah if you're not actually missing if you're
1:09:45
not mixing your own world from literally yeah you're cheating yeah
1:09:58
go get the rocks and do that and filter it out and use bark and cook it and oil it and I'm like
1:10:09
my whole 40K Army has been sculpted out of Pebbles yeah
1:10:16
do whatever you like I mean that would be a hilarious yeah
1:10:22
you know oh I think we've talked about it before like very briefly there's there's a YouTube channel
1:10:28
um where he uses really he's like a guy in a rainforest somewhere and I think there's a few of them now and they're
1:10:34
completely silent and he makes these like mud huts and he's like I'm gonna make a kiln and and he like makes all
1:10:41
these bricks and all these structures and everything like that it'd be so funny to do like a a riff on that video
1:10:47
style but just like make a Space Marine out of rocks Rock Marines yeah but I
1:10:54
always think that just do it like do whatever are you bloody yeah at the end of them they look as good as
1:11:00
you want them to look then yeah don't worry about it service break eyes breakouts all the time now I didn't used to I went off
1:11:06
them for ages yeah way better 10 hours yeah give me a can of black spray red spray for an angle
1:11:12
yeah that's what we were talking about last time chaos black is just such a good surprise I love cast Black yeah
1:11:18
we've not had anyone talk about it on the channel who doesn't yeah it's what like
1:11:24
I came back to spray cans it was just like chaos black white xenophil I just tread the day when they go but
1:11:30
everyone's buying cast but they love it let's change it Hello Color Forge
1:11:36
I've been there I know this is getting successful we should change it
1:11:42
somebody like I've been uh like a project I'm doing at the minute is like a charity thing which and essentially
1:11:48
it's like a imperial fist sort of style but space Ducks they're called uh and I've been doing the pink Prime with a
1:11:55
white xenathon I've been using Army paint and pixie pink and someone was like oh that was only a limited run like they're not doing many of them and
1:12:01
that's like Amazon oh it's still there two just any pink yeah
1:12:08
the pink or the red with the white right yeah that's like and again you're talking about trying new things that was
1:12:13
something like for me um I heard about it I was like that's weird and let me give it a go and I was like that's cool yeah because you try it
1:12:19
you give it again you give it yeah due and then you suddenly find out the benefits of it yeah so yeah yeah yeah I
1:12:26
thoroughly enjoyed it and I I'm also throwing everything at those Miniatures like streaking Grime oils and this stuff
1:12:33
yeah let's see these beasts and weathering and stuff
1:12:39
um and I'm having a great great time yeah I've got it great as well I've got the lieutenant on the on uh I'll tell
1:12:45
you what I think you're doing really well you're quacking up with them
1:12:51
yeah is that a great night helmet yes yes that's really good the saddest thing for me is Pat this is like Pat's best
1:12:58
arm we've done so far and he's got to give it away yeah well yeah I'm painting it for it
1:13:03
for a charity giveaway in all seriousness I'll stick the link in the description in all seriousness part for a minute
1:13:09
that's awesome they look amazing yeah honestly man I need to weather that one
1:13:14
give me a guide there will be a video that's what you know honestly man
1:13:21
honestly gobsmacked that's really really good I really can't know these yeah man a yellow is like yeah there's always
1:13:26
been a Troublesome paint for people right but now we've got the yellows and stuff yeah so that is is a pink pink
1:13:32
primer white xenophile and then in pure fish yellow yeah that's just the way isn't it and then it's got some
1:13:37
streaking ground some oils and there's something the other but that was more than me it's all the blend like you know like
1:13:43
they're colored them that's just from the xenophile yes yes so that backpack I think is probably like where it looks
1:13:48
probably the most obvious because you can wipe the top of it yeah that's really nice man yeah I'm enjoying that
1:13:55
but yeah I'll stick the link in the description of of yeah these will be raffled off in October oh yeah
1:14:01
um there we go uh so someone asked which we I guess kind of covered on this a little bit I watch how funny now if I
1:14:06
won them I'd be livid
1:14:14
yeah yeah yeah just like just like just take a look
1:14:21
staring at him as well slowly melting right here yeah yeah I should just slowly poured them into a big bath full
1:14:28
of boats I'll be later yeah
1:14:34
they're awesome they look the real world's on oh I did um I need I need to segue ever so slightly
1:14:40
um because I got a message from uh uh Darren Latham on Instagram
1:14:48
um and he said um no mention of the 90s Marine Challenge on the show sad face broken heart emoji
1:14:55
oh no you don't ask me Mr Latham as much as
1:15:01
we love you but hang on how many how many followers has he got on Instagram it's everywhere yeah yeah yeah
1:15:09
um it's amazing so so yeah um it's just that he's taken my family hostage and um I'm reading these words
1:15:18
he's running a 90s Marine Challenge and you can paint one and post it on the 2nd
1:15:24
of September and there's Awards and stuff lovely um please let my family go
1:15:30
Darren uh wonderful right so uh what was the
1:15:36
drive to do it all EG YouTube hobby shop and how uh assuming there was convincing
1:15:43
uh how did you convince your wonderful partner to join you on this adventure so she
1:15:48
um she got into the painting side that's a question I get a lot at she's like how do you get your partner or whatever into
1:15:54
the hobby right yeah it seems to be like it's a question a lot of people have I guess they want their friends you know you want to do it you have time share
1:15:59
together right yeah and I think a lot of people ask that question I've never really like I don't know it's it's very subjective right depending on
1:16:06
the personality but Kira really loved to begin with that she likes fantasy stuff right so I never said oh there's a space range what do you like war cry all right
1:16:13
okay you like this box Untamed beef that's why we did dance Untamed piece cooling should I lack painting I don't want to play I said okay paint away do
1:16:19
you like and then for the first year she would just buy a random stuff there's no word about an army no yeah enjoy it so
1:16:25
you get that I I like you know we'll do my best to help that she didn't like assemblings but I'll assemble him for him she'd just paint
1:16:31
them well it make it as easy as possible yeah for her to enjoy it right and took now she does herself but make it as easy
1:16:36
as possible and we tried to get a war cry because I think it is probably the easiest of games to get into yeah so I did the very first actually never done
1:16:42
dice games and it's funny how much assumed knowledge you think some you have so I said to oh you need to roll a four plus she's at four plus one yeah
1:16:48
it's like yeah yeah four plus like yeah four or five or six what do you mean I was like two million two yeah either the
1:16:54
terminology we have or even this game's Workshop you know when you've got that painted guide so I don't know what any of this is like it's all if you've never
1:17:00
done it yeah you have no idea um it's it's tough isn't it yeah because you really you're just so much assumed
1:17:07
knowledge for because you've been doing it for that long yeah like a customer customers little boy sees because I paint the shop sorry to hijack what
1:17:14
you're saying no but a customer's little boy paint comes into the shop and I paint in my shop and he's really got into it and then his dad was like I
1:17:20
don't want to get all of that and I went look you can get this thing called kill team 10 aside and then he coming anyway I've got it
1:17:27
all he said but it's all in baked yeah it will be anyone he said so I just pushed them and I'm like no no you don't
1:17:32
push them off with your fingers yeah yeah you need Clippers yeah he said I need one and then I'm going these these things and you realize you think
1:17:38
there's just so much knowledge and you know I think someone put the nail on the heads with about how much you you know
1:17:44
because you file and you varnish and all these things and so on said we don't realize it but pretty much
1:17:49
everybody who is who has been model painting and building for quite a while would make really really good nail
1:17:55
technicians yeah we we I was um wandering through town uh with with
1:18:01
my girlfriend and and her mum's been been with us this weekend and I walked past the nail shop and I was like how
1:18:07
funny would it be if we just did a video and it started off with the three of us and it's like hello we're nerds and we
1:18:12
like painting and we're gonna see if our skills transfer to this and and like try nail painting I know that would be
1:18:18
amazing you know do you know what in all seriousness have a mate with a nail bar really there you go yeah seriously so
1:18:25
yeah yeah he used to be in the shop face in my shop yes get in there oh yeah cool
1:18:30
yeah that's good we have to do that yeah I think that would be brilliant if it's my wife to have her nails done by me but
1:18:35
anyway no oh we do each other's Nails
1:18:48
yeah it's amazing brilliant idea yeah but it does transfer doesn't it yeah it's the art brushes whatever some of
1:18:54
the best paintings I know are tattoo artists yeah yeah like and they're like just really good I've never painted
1:18:59
before painting I'm like [ __ ] you like that's so good but they would be right yeah yeah can we used to be makeup so
1:19:05
she's quite good she understands like contrast and Contours and stuff yeah yeah I like have conversations with a
1:19:11
lot of makeup artists at weddings and stuff like that and and I remember one um yeah like the mother of the bride sat
1:19:17
down and the artist was like okay so uh like what clothes are you wearing and she was like oh my dress is green and
1:19:23
she was like right okay well we don't really want to go with silver because that kind of reads us blue and then this is this I was like yeah oh my God yeah
1:19:30
then the makeup artist proceeded to dry brush the mother's face yeah I was like
1:19:36
have you heard of artist Opus you wouldn't text your palette the moist tissue or whatever these days
1:19:44
that's it yeah um but yeah it's there's a lot of crossover I think with makeup and and
1:19:49
miniature painting definitely well their boxes are great for putting yes
1:19:55
right aren't they like dry brush yeah brushes now yes yeah yeah so yeah there
1:20:00
we go uh slight change in Direction favorite place to go on holiday no that's new that is new that's a good
1:20:08
yeah it's a good one it's something I could go all the time I I did a bit a bit of traveling over the
1:20:13
years I I say like one place that no one ever goes which I had to stop was really cool because it was dead cheap it was really nice was um Andorra right so in
1:20:21
between Spain and France like a tiny bit Independence time it only has like two towns yeah so I don't ski but I went
1:20:26
there off season it's like a tax Haven or whatever like oh right like everything's like dead cheap you get
1:20:31
really nice food drinks went around a little snowmobiles like a tennis I mean like something cool that was so good a
1:20:36
cheap man's Monica yeah you go to Barcelona you get a bus up like a tenor and you go from there amazing and or or then like the dream place is New Zealand
1:20:43
right I went around there that's like yeah I've never been that far away that's a long way right I mean Wales is
1:20:49
like a poor man's New Zealand mountains yeah let's just go there right
1:20:57
um yeah go to Wales but yeah Mountain scandalf I want to see
1:21:03
mountains somewhere to finish mad book yeah yeah yeah but no one ever believes
1:21:08
him but Andorra let's go there yeah just yeah speaking of going on holiday how are you for time uh I'm all right if I'm
1:21:16
sort of we're half past one if I'm out of here say two o'clock I think yeah because yeah cool yeah
1:21:21
yeah uh which game brand other than
1:21:26
Warhammer would you like to create more content about but the YouTube YouTube algorithm holds you back hmm
1:21:36
I'd like to do more like historical content like Vikings and stuff oh yeah
1:21:41
love all that right love Vikings and bits and Bobs maybe like some board game things as well crossover Skyrim Fallout any of that
1:21:47
kind of stuff there's a lot of good stuff yeah I mean Skyrim Fallout from modifius of some really nice yeah kits
1:21:53
and stuff I've just got into that like this that's cool like the games you you're fine yeah it's like oh it's that character from that game sneaky Bowman
1:21:59
or whatever yeah yeah any of that any of those Vikings and stuff like Romans historical I love that yeah
1:22:06
um absolutely what about you what would you guys uh I'm a fan of Star Wars but anything I mean historical as well we're
1:22:12
not really touched much on we do have a plan to do every human being in every film okay so I'll do a Sean being an
1:22:18
impression for you oh that's even better I mean them yeah yeah sure I mean you gotta love the Sean beans talked about him that much it'll go back
1:22:25
to him and he comes on yeah yeah I mean I'm right and then at the end of the episode we'd kill him because obviously
1:22:31
20 would won yeah yeah
1:22:36
sorry anyone from Yorkshire yeah that's not the sound up in there yeah I think
1:22:42
I'd love to do um yeah what is it like like hot ones where it's like hey we're having a
1:22:47
conversation but we're eating really hot for hot wings yeah and that's fun yeah um and doing like right we're going to
1:22:53
teach someone how to paint a Space Marine that's never painted it before and then you have a conversation with them I think that could be cool and it's
1:22:59
Sean Bean and then and then yeah the dream would be Sean yeah I've been painting his first baseman I think yeah
1:23:06
it's nice just a lager and chips and just like you can have a lot a couple of loggers money as you want some chips and
1:23:12
we just sit there in pain yeah yeah because it's an open invite there isn't it oh yeah yeah yeah I think yeah like
1:23:18
the format I think we should definitely film like a pilot for it I think that'd be great and then send it to Sean Bean's
1:23:24
team or like slowly trying you know if you
1:23:29
hope if you like start off with people because you'd have to do it with people outside of the hobby wouldn't you so maybe like some other YouTubers or
1:23:35
something like that to get to 100 000 it might be like hey we could introduce potentially a hundred thousand people to
1:23:41
your channel yeah and uh the power yeah yeah the clout
1:23:46
um oh I said that the other day what was it I think it was uh Mikey from hellstone wargaming we're trying to come up with a collective noun for a group of
1:23:53
YouTubers so like you see yeah a murder of crows and this that and the other and it was a clout of influences that sounds
1:23:59
about right yeah yeah I thought that was quite funny um so we've got a few acting questions
1:24:04
here um that says this one hi Ollie how did you find the acting world yeah I mean it
1:24:11
was it was it was good it was a few years ago now I I did I studied when I was like till about 20. and I had a good
1:24:16
run right I'd say around like 2006 to 2012 was probably like Peak goes got
1:24:22
into some good good auditions nearly made it into hollyoaks into the
1:24:39
like six other people that looked like me I was like it's a bit weird isn't it you're in there Jeremy I did that I did
1:24:46
some good stuff it was good you know I had a lot of stage things really and like lots of period dramas and playing big pashos and yeah um so I loved all
1:24:52
that yeah it's great you know it's just a tough tough grind don't it like it's not you know yeah it's not the best part I think like five percent of actors earn
1:24:59
over minimum wage or something so you know it's uh it's like acting is brutal it's pretty tough yeah I turned up for
1:25:05
audition once this one I told you six student now you know good I was like I just drove down to London like yeah
1:25:12
I was like it could have been an email all right well thanks so much then bye like yeah well you're a bit fat right
1:25:24
yeah yeah absolutely yeah and then another acting question was which
1:25:29
character in The Warhammer universe or Multiverse would you like to play in an Amazon series
1:25:36
get it in now because you might get that yeah hello Amazon um you used to act check out my CV I'll
1:25:51
the guy from Love Actually who went over who did the BTS yeah yeah I know exactly
1:25:56
who you mean hundreds of people in my life without it just said you like mail like you know well he plays flash out
1:26:01
and Blackadder doesn't he yeah she is also cyphus Kane she could be safe as king there you go oh there you go I'll take that yeah
1:26:11
no I was appropriate to say anymore all I remember is he just goes woof
1:26:19
it gives you something to hold on to what yeah yeah yeah there we go yeah yeah no actually I mean
1:26:27
anything about that like sillies I always go for like they always go like nice ones go read this nice guy I got like nice eyes you'll make a good good
1:26:34
guy and turn up and go right you're no good for that he's like an evil murdering conniving bastard you're great
1:26:40
for that like you're just a bit intense I'm like all right so I play that I always always go for good guys I think I'll make a nice guy called like Matt or
1:26:45
something yeah he's a family man yeah no I'm the one who murders him kills his family that's like that's what they're
1:26:51
giving me in a row so anything like that you know duplicitous like dark elf I
1:26:57
remember I well I grew a drone lockdown I grew my hair along for about 20 months and then I started wearing it back in a
1:27:03
man bun and then with this big beard and I remember one day putting it back in a man bun with this big beard and I thought I just look like one of the
1:27:10
people that John Wicks who
1:27:17
slightly dodgly Eastern European and I just thought I've just got nine millimeter hole in my head written all
1:27:23
over me yeah after being brought to the ground in a judo move yeah this guy in the face
1:27:34
after only after already beat me for a minute
1:27:41
there you go smoothness
1:27:47
the best of it is I'm happy with that yeah it's fine everyone's got their place absolutely the snog Marion
1:27:54
avoidance it's not Mario void that's a question
1:28:03
of the three of us which would you like to shoot who would you like to shoot in the face
1:28:10
oh my God I I often think like I I have the delusions of grandeur like oh wouldn't it be amazing to play a Space
1:28:16
Marine and I'm like no I'm like five foot six I would be no one's getting hired who's eight foot tall are they no
1:28:23
no idea squash but I think
1:28:29
I dream would would be character where like the two main characters if they're like guard or
1:28:35
whatever we're in a trench and they're like oh we need to we need to be sensible about this and I'm like no
1:28:42
they've stopped firing I'm gonna go back everything would be a really good part
1:28:48
and a specially and you know the Space Marines because obviously they just don't have a life to the they just
1:28:54
they're just War I just think like really sarcastic sidekick human who does
1:29:00
something for them but they're so war base that they don't understand sarcasm
1:29:07
being sarcastic next to one oh new skull on your belt oh that looks nice you know I think that would be great because I
1:29:13
just think they wouldn't understand sarcasm with because they're so removed from society like they're not even funny that's basically even fun are they just
1:29:20
boring bastards really I mean everyone's own circles are probably funny I I quite liked
1:29:27
um I think I mentioned it before uh tall garadin in the watches of the watches of
1:29:32
the throne books because he's just an angry yorkshireman yeah um and I was just like I didn't expect that but then
1:29:39
they're just Space Marines and they're arguing with other Space Marines about who's the best Space Marine yeah I'm like what's your best what's the best
1:29:46
way to war yeah yeah I wore better than you the big question being asked now because it just made me think about it
1:29:51
like you know different Champs and stuff yeah Dark Angels right they probably don't play around so don't do how much
1:29:56
horseplay not much of a laugh okay made me think like you know they've got robes maybe they're like played tricks on their own they're not occurred to me
1:30:02
they're robes or cream on the outside red on the inside how do you wash them
1:30:08
that's a very good point because you can't put them in the washing machine together maybe good question being asked I mean
1:30:15
how does that get how is that going to work because they are just going to go pink maybe they just have to replace one
1:30:20
after everything yeah do they not wash them or they just don't wash them they just don't wash
1:30:25
them she was painting a chaplain the other day and she's like who put that little skull on his cloak who's like who's there they've got a surf going get
1:30:31
that doesn't look fancy enough these are guys who just do war and I was
1:30:37
like no character yeah oh get them get me a nice cloak though I like the idea that like a Space Marines battle barge
1:30:43
must have a like at least like a compliment of a thousand tailors
1:30:50
comes in like stole please
1:30:56
have you watched any of the um the new Star Trek strangely no well in the
1:31:02
captain and it has this really really quite substantial quiff haircut yeah right which I I've become obsessed with
1:31:07
would be and it's really quite high in the add an episode a while ago where they really gotta they they really got
1:31:14
an ass kicking and seven of the crew were killed which is I like the fact it's a little bit more full on them and
1:31:20
there were seven of these perfectly beautiful black obsidian coffins that will be getting fired out into space and
1:31:25
he was stood there looking at them all in dismayed losing these members of the team and I said to my wife I went God
1:31:31
opens Barber's not one of them
1:31:49
I always sing like with all the leather pouches did the Imperium have like cow Planet yeah that's a good question we
1:31:56
weighed talked about that like you know when it comes to like planets there is an entire planet that probably makes yeah flannels an entire planet yeah belt
1:32:02
buckles and stuff yeah so or maybe the joke of the warrior would be they make corn star they make Co-op starch or
1:32:09
maybe they've got no cows filleted humans yeah
1:32:16
cow man cow Planet man or like PCS man this is the algae plants
1:32:26
like you know oh [ __ ] where is it
1:32:31
I've switched it on by accident what do I do just press it
1:32:37
[Laughter] oh I mean yeah you could have that
1:32:43
there'd be such a great comedy show of like people in on the lowest rungs of Imperial employment I think that was
1:32:50
like you know like that that Star Trek cartoon uh lower decks yeah imagine lower deck spot imagine lower decks was
1:32:56
set on Boards of Space Marine barge yeah lower levels
1:33:01
how long it takes to clean a bowl so when you're only four foot eight yeah yeah everyone pick it up and it's a
1:33:29
I mean I think it's uh Khan the Betrayal as like scold on him
1:33:35
like did you kill a child
1:33:41
the idea of a woman walking through the battle barge and the servo score goes the other way and goes I'm sure that's
1:33:47
our Daniel yeah damn
1:34:15
[Music] because that would be horrifying just be like yeah me and my best mate and he'd
1:34:21
be like oh he's a serviton here yeah yeah that would be pretty great yeah we lobotomized him yeah he now carries
1:34:26
stuff in the in the dark and mayor area yeah it's like Nick Frost from uh Sean the dead is it yeah yeah yeah
1:34:33
foreign could be a romantic comedy like one one
1:34:40
man's love for his servitor friend
1:34:45
I'd watch that no I don't think I would yeah but I would I'll be the services
1:34:57
I'll do that oh I love Mars Attacks I haven't seen that I've got so many dark things I want to talk about right now
1:35:03
I'm trying to remain not beat now yeah I've been quiet because there's so many
1:35:09
things I should be saying rescue peachy give us a question yes oh yes that's what we're doing yeah
1:35:17
I don't know I I love what I love getting sidetracked it's great uh is someone starting your business with
1:35:23
their partner soon what lessons or advice would you impart from going on this journey with uh Kira Ah that's
1:35:30
that's a very good question um communication I think is really really key right like in life and relationships right good communication
1:35:36
is really key and I think we we've always been good communicators we had the long distance thing so yeah very
1:35:43
good at like talking and um that's been massive and it has been an experience right it's gone through stages where it
1:35:49
was step one was whatever and it was was this and then the dynamic changes all the time um I think being very aware of that and
1:35:56
I actually did a video on opening a hobby shop and I will say there were some absolutely like beautiful comments
1:36:01
on that there's a lot of people who understood the same had the issues whatever when they got you know I do a business in whatever
1:36:08
it's the same issues right same problems the same stresses the same worries and some guy it's one coming I forget
1:36:14
whoever did the comment but thank you so much one person did a comment it really actually hit me um and he was saying like my partner she used to have a
1:36:20
business and I used to work with her yeah every day for five years he said you know a couple years ago that ended and now I go to my job she goes to her
1:36:27
job I never see her and he said but now there's nothing more than I wish like to see my partner and your family more than
1:36:33
you could like you know we have the kids who comes up to the shop and it's yeah it's a family right it's a unit there so like I would say like you know
1:36:39
communicate but like don't forget that you know you're there to support each other it's like you know cherish that
1:36:45
that's what one guy said he's like nothing more I wish now and I could go back five years and see my partner and see my family more than I do because now
1:36:51
I never see them you know yeah he's like wherever he works at night whatever whatever yeah and like so that's something I really took on heart
1:36:57
actually like not you know you get a lot of comments for everybody else but comment actually hit me on heart and I thought you know what very lucky yeah
1:37:03
yeah really to be in this position um so yeah I think just communicate more than anything because it's very
1:37:09
easy for that pressure to come home have a bad day or whatever and you know and that explodes and that leads to like you
1:37:15
can do to an argument or whatever whatever you know it changes that don't be afraid to turn off do something nice do something nice to each other
1:37:24
applies to a business more so because you've got other other pressures so I think you know don't I don't like well
1:37:29
you've got a lot of plates to spin as well so sometimes there is a lot a lot going on yeah and then life happens
1:37:34
right and yeah relationship so yeah but I would say that's like that's why if you have to do
1:37:40
a business with your partner just communicate I think it's massive yeah wonderful that's a very very boring
1:37:45
answer but no it's a good answer it's so easy to I know metaphorically it's so easy to have a bad day and want
1:37:52
to come home and kick the dog yeah right instead of explaining why you want to kick the dog I think so and if you need a bit of time away like she loves to
1:37:58
just sometimes do a bit of tick tock melt the brain for an hour yeah that's okay yeah a little bit of Doom scrolling yeah
1:38:06
um lovely so uh Tim coming in he he asks the one chat well done Tim uh about the
1:38:12
favorite cheese but he also asks two of the questions favorite Pokemon yeah that's become a new one now isn't
1:38:18
it yeah I'm just going to go straight in there I know my Pokemon I know my Pokemon's is
1:38:24
nothing yeah I only know the original ones I don't know yeah
1:38:30
Pokemon red or blue right yeah more than 150. they're sites oh there's so many now there's one I saw the other day it's
1:38:37
a keychain and that's a Pokemon now let's get a load of keys well they don't make Pokemon like they're used to back in my
1:38:44
day there's a paper clip and a keychain yeah
1:38:49
it's called like keychains Pokemon now that's why it's gone but uh
1:38:57
today yeah there's some crazy ones out there now you're the first 150 odd in yeah I think they're just followed us off now
1:39:24
yeah basically it's it's a weird duck that's having an existential crisis uh
1:39:29
and it just goes a lot and forever yeah
1:39:35
yeah I wake up in the morning and I'm like
1:40:06
[Music] I've seen people going into my front
1:40:13
garden trying to look for the bloody years what the hell's going on then someone
1:40:20
mentioned I was playing Pokemon so I downloaded I was like why is the one in our garden yeah throw a ball at him
1:40:25
oh wonderful oh yeah I remember when it came out and and you could always tell when people were playing Pokemon go
1:40:30
because they'd have their phone like plugged into a power bank in their pocket yeah walking to a Lamppost right yeah there you go yeah and it would be
1:40:37
like oh my God there's this spawn and then everybody just flocks to this like random corner and you're like
1:40:43
are they drug dealing or playing Pokemon um anyway uh how does the game scene
1:40:49
different in Ireland to the UK um we've had a good growth there and
1:40:56
there's there's that Island's what I think about five million people now as a population there so significantly smaller than the UK right there's a
1:41:02
there's a few shops there's two games workshops I think they're doing opening two more now um and it's certainly like I I'm finding a
1:41:10
lot everyone everyone knows everybody right so I've run I'm running an event actually in a couple of weeks at my fourth ITC major job East Island's
1:41:17
largest ever competitive tournament and um tickets are just live now I've got about 20 tickets left I think and that
1:41:22
will be that fourth year of that and um it's been brilliant like every year there's lots of new players really trying to like pound the the ethos is
1:41:30
new friendly welcome it's not like hyper competitive it's not Cutthroat you know there's the team island people there they're great they're lovely bunch very
1:41:36
good at teaching everyone's very like helpful to each other there's not many I mean it's a lovely Community
1:41:41
um obviously 40K is the biggest game there is maybe we struggle a little bit for the smaller game system just just
1:41:47
see the quality of players but overall same same stuff really usual nice helpful people but just yeah a little
1:41:53
bit not the diversity of games just due to lack of accessing players right yeah and it's a long way between people you
1:41:58
know we're three hours away from Dublin so it's a long way to come to us or vice versa so people are you know we have a
1:42:03
good flock of people without living in the country I live in the country I live in like cowland yeah yeah so yeah well the same same job here I'd say yeah
1:42:11
wonderful uh tabletop on tap asks how is the wall of
1:42:16
fame going uh very good um so table time on top is is a patron of mine as well I'm assuming I uh he's
1:42:22
on the wall have a wall of fame for the patreons and for the people that goes up there in the back of the studio uh main top detail every month but I think it's
1:42:29
probably been long five weeks three seconds we'll say five weeks yeah
1:42:39
I'll get that done and go and I start I've been married 30 years past
1:42:44
gonna compromise over there very quickly yeah yeah it's been five
1:42:50
weeks four weeks in a day yeah that's right yeah yeah but it's great it's lovely time for support isn't it some
1:42:56
tier of patrons or just every Patron over like what's any patreon once you hit like an amount I mean yeah
1:43:02
it has put a winky face at the end of this I see so I appreciate the little yeah I think he's on there though so
1:43:08
he's all right it's the other ones in it yeah yeah it's hard to keep on top of all these things oh yeah time flies yeah
1:43:15
yeah it really does drop off it's all you've got to remember to remove then yeah yeah they've been a patreon so they
1:43:21
should probably stay there yeah yeah get the sponge out you're dead yeah okay now get a blue paper yeah
1:43:28
um okay what would you do if a fairy had gifted you a full week of free time without the need to work on shop or
1:43:35
YouTube I'd think about shop or YouTube I know but I wouldn't want to but I would yeah well they do it takes about
1:43:41
two days to like not do stuff I've had no phone on me because if I have a phone it's impossible to get away from it yeah no phone what would I do I don't know go
1:43:49
walk about somewhere do Hadrian's Wall or something walk that or do something a little bit weird figure out how to
1:43:55
commercialize that fairy yeah yeah what can this fairy do for me
1:44:04
yeah by the way streaming deck now works yeah get fairy friends in as well
1:44:12
um I don't know music or something probably yeah go and rock out with a guitar yeah so yeah just go to a random
1:44:18
wedding if you're asked to attend or not yeah
1:44:25
yeah yeah if I didn't cash in that I could do that absolutely lovely and the last one
1:44:31
um he says no questions but then ends up asking uh two uh perfect with some with
1:44:38
some laughing emojis going oops um uh no question but a big thumbs up
1:44:43
for the sharps Gang video you actually convinced me to buy a box and get them started
1:44:49
um got to priming any plans for a Flashman conversion
1:44:56
fighting Afghans maybe question mark me yeah
1:45:02
I don't know Flashman is a I think it's a series of books which is yeah it's like uh colonial era sort of stuff
1:45:10
um are they good I don't I've never read them I'm aware of them I've heard yeah Flashman is what they use for Kane isn't
1:45:15
it well no that's uh yeah that's flash heart from um uh Blackadder yeah who's
1:45:21
based on Flashman well I'm learning early 20th century
1:45:26
boxes a cowardly okay yeah yeah I always thought it was from Blackadder
1:45:33
not ready I read the books of evidence of like Tom Tom Brown school days well
1:45:38
Flashman was like a character at the school and then they did books about him as he became an army officer in the
1:45:44
napoleonics and that's where that's where flasher comes from cool can we do a Sean Bean chart thing we should do
1:45:50
we're gonna do it's like there's not many other YouTubers out there I know who love it yeah I love it it's the best it's the best he's the best can I ask my
1:45:56
question oh cool yeah you're scared now no well let's not we talked about would you shoot me in the face
1:46:04
multiple times how has it been with the uh well I'll
1:46:11
put it down on it how's it been with regards to seeing how the world future or the half
1:46:18
that is that is it that is a question um it's not something we always Kevin and I
1:46:24
always talk about I guess like she she has her own Outlet right so she gets her own messages right which aren't always
1:46:30
as nice as you want them to be she gets treated very differently to me on the channel um I might get like you know we've got
1:46:36
various comments about lots of lovely ones the majority of lovely of course but they're not the ones that stick with you sometimes right yeah so we did a
1:46:42
video a couple of years ago it's the only video I've ever just outright deleted off YouTube just just deleted it I don't even know I'm just like you know
1:46:48
I've had enough like deleted it we did it was a funny one like looking at us the artist or whatever she wasn't into the hobby much so we thought we'd watch
1:46:53
it it's kind of popular at the time so but it's like a New Year's Eve but let's do another wine and do that and she got
1:46:58
like the the that's like probably the worst of the community we've ever had and I was like I don't want to do this
1:47:04
anymore so I don't want to even do this like I don't want to do Warhammer or anything like this is what it's like so yeah but she she gets it in all
1:47:10
seriousness we did a video myself Luke Benji and a few other Benji's Hobbies we did a video like um YouTubers read mean
1:47:16
comments right yes I'm trying to make light of it right yeah so they're like the filtered man bad comments right yeah
1:47:22
comments you wouldn't put out and in all fairness like she she's had to get like a thicker and
1:47:30
it's not like we don't always talk about like you know women in wargaming all these kind of there's a lot of people do which is great it's it's it's wonderful
1:47:35
that that's being discussed but it's not something we always talk about I don't know why um but I always feel the need to like
1:47:41
feel because I have the YouTube so I filter but you know I don't want her to be witness to some of the stuff you read write some of the comments you get but
1:47:47
where mine might be like you know I mean might be like oh you're a I hate you I'm like okay great or you're you're useless oh you're ugly or whatever right yeah
1:47:52
I'll shoot you in the face yeah in the face right not a week no wink right like that's a serious one so you get those
1:47:59
but it hurts are generally aimed at the fact she's she's a lady right so so
1:48:04
she'll get quite sexualized ones but like not in a nice way yeah so not there is
1:48:10
but I mean what do you know what I mean like it's quite I don't know it's hard to talk about isn't it really but she she gets like some some Flack for that
1:48:17
and I think she gets a lot of you know she's a serious obvious she paints she's yeah you know she that's that's her core thing she's you know
1:48:25
it's really hard stuff actually she um we've struggled with it over the years I think between us um and normally if
1:48:32
one's down one's up you've got to do that if you're both at the bottom we've both had a bad week and we've both had
1:48:37
bad comments and you both have whatever like it does hit you and yeah definitely like why why bother them why do this
1:48:43
like this is what people are going to be like why do it and it isn't such a minority honestly such a minority but
1:48:49
they are there and it's unfortunate but I do think that scene is changing now right the stigma is changing from when
1:48:56
we were a hobbyists as kids it was like I say shame and it was that and then Game of Thrones and Lord rings and
1:49:01
stranger things happened and all these things that have turned cool like it's been amazing people in the shotgun I've
1:49:08
never heard of warmer but I know Henry Cavill likes it you're like that's that's okay yeah it's wonderful so like
1:49:13
now like these people are stepping forward and um even like magic the Gathering right there's people there and all this
1:49:19
fear is getting more popular and it's becoming more normalized now which is which is a good thing yeah um and like
1:49:25
people should be able to do that but it's still there um it's it's not always relevant but
1:49:30
it's it's definitely a very different treatment to me I'll get called ugly and use it some craps you'll get called something else and yeah it's a shame
1:49:37
well I'm glad it doesn't put up for a stride because she produces some really good stuff and I'm I'm glad she's out there doing what she does yeah I'm very
1:49:43
proud of it because she's at with it all and you know she's she's lovely she enjoys it we
1:49:50
had a community Meetup last week and it's it's great it's a lovely Community it really is I don't want to put a down on it but it is it's part of it you know
1:49:57
it's just a very different scene to me it's It's upsetting because it's like they they say those things purposely to
1:50:02
upset you yeah and obviously as a response you're upset because you see it he's just like why why are you saying
1:50:08
you know I've never I've never felt the need myself to to just go on the internet watch someone
1:50:13
just go you look like a ball sack yeah yeah you need to die yeah if you get
1:50:18
that yeah and I'm like what and you know I'm sure someone in the comments will go well you don't understand these people what they've been through this thing
1:50:24
yeah but then you know if you've been through [ __ ] then maybe don't Chuck [ __ ] so much yeah like I don't walk past my
1:50:31
neighbor's house look at their deck or go you know what I'm Gonna Knock on their door and turn their decals crap and carry on my day and then then they
1:50:37
would do it they wouldn't do I've never had anyone to my face and go I hate you yeah okay great I'm sure there are people you know what I mean like yeah
1:50:43
you're a person you have online like everyone will have characters I'm sure people like different things like different whatever but yeah people don't
1:50:49
say to your face I know like we have it's it's it's it it is a minority of life it can stick sometimes the video
1:50:55
you really like this really badly you've had a bad week in the shop kids had a bad week online we've had a stressful time with the kid it all completely
1:51:02
defenses again yeah and you end up at the bottom and you go like I don't want to do this I can't do
1:51:09
this anymore um but it is changing and that's great and I think like we were at salute weren't we and that yeah
1:51:14
there was stuff there and that's it's so good that that's becoming at least it's spoken about you know whereas there was
1:51:19
there weren't like engagement 20 years ago you know you go in it's like the drag the girlfriend in they'll be like
1:51:24
oh God yeah here we are stand outside go go whatever it's not like that now yeah yeah yeah and that's brilliant that's
1:51:30
why having like Kira in the shop is wonderful because it helps other other ladies or other people want to yeah yeah
1:51:37
I think that must be that thing of a bit of a look through the glass and yeah she's there enjoying it
1:51:42
someone comes in with a girlfriend or boyfriend or whatever and they go you know like they're doing it but I think
1:51:47
it also normalizes it for for the younger generation as well so like you know I've said it before like in our
1:51:53
house we we all share the chores and stuff for Outlet that's just normal it's not you know yeah I don't like go off to
1:51:59
work and come back and expect my egg and chips on the Tuesdays right um I mean I do as long as it's yeah as
1:52:05
long as it's fish on a Friday but that's like his fingers me that's the change in society yeah that that
1:52:12
wall or stereotype or stick or whatever those things are changing right and it's always evolving so it's nice to see the
1:52:17
hobby although it is I think behind General Society now it is it is changing and that's going for me as a male
1:52:23
perspective but yeah that's that's how I see it with Kira so I mean she would maybe say something else but yeah I wouldn't speak for her but that's how I
1:52:29
see it so it's always want to like guard that right I just don't want her to see you yeah yeah it's not good for anybody
1:52:35
is it and that's such a minority of the most people honestly are lovely like you let you know but yeah just sometimes sometimes it just gets you and that's
1:52:41
just something clouds it's a shame I think like the worst I get is I'll type
1:52:47
out a response and then I'll just close YouTube yeah that's it type the response again wait so someone says um oh it made
1:52:53
me giggle and the response that I typed out and didn't send like wasn't bad um and it was a comment on one of the
1:52:58
shorts I think it was like a storm cast that you've done um oh yeah and it said rubbish it's like
1:53:05
this is so bad if somebody played with this against me I'd laugh them off the table and I was like you sound really
1:53:18
I know I delete YouTube Studio a lot off my phone put a video out first 24 48 Hours check on the thumbnail check on
1:53:25
the video get rid of it yeah I mean yeah I I forgot I had a good run of nice videos Nostalgia ones and yes healthy
1:53:31
stuff and they're all lovely comments and then I did a video like a normal video I was like I forgot like I forgot this exists shitty comments exist
1:53:37
anything you wake up in the morning and you shouldn't you well at 7am you go there's some [ __ ] or you're at Tesco's and you go oh well I don't have
1:53:43
notifications I just delete it a lot of time now yeah so it's not yeah which is a shame because it means you miss interaction the nice ones yeah
1:53:50
yeah but then you know you get folks there saying oh you only look at the positive ones you should have a little negative ones should I yeah they go you
1:53:57
on the internet you're there so you should say go and if you walk down the street you should purposely stand in the
1:54:02
dog poo no yeah yeah I love that that's a that's a great feature
1:54:08
are you on the internet so suck it up you're like well no no I just want to just don't do it yeah
1:54:15
don't do it instead of me having to you know yeah but I think that's the same overall of YouTube too isn't it it's
1:54:20
just a different different take for kids great good I don't know like I love to
1:54:25
uh to have a sort of test of being a female in the hobby for a month or two
1:54:31
just to see the uh the kind of like knobbery that you get I didn't realize it I didn't think it was like it was
1:54:37
until we got a few videos in and then after actually maybe understand a little bit more like what that how that issue
1:54:45
is how real issue is um it was something I never thought about you just
1:54:56
which is which is but it's changing yeah I didn't think unfair if I did it
1:55:01
was getting dick pissed off my brother
1:55:26
it's like you click to open are you sure you want to open I'm like I don't know yeah I opened it uh yeah not much is a
1:55:35
Space Marine but yeah yeah yeah yeah it could be a thumb could be something
1:55:40
else I've only ever had Space Marines for those pictures oh it's like are you sure you want to see us I'm like yeah
1:55:46
and it makes me really nervous and I'm just like oh yes I'm a dog it's lovely because I wanted to wish you got that oh
1:55:52
no that isn't yeah a couple of those which aren't Space Marines yes you Space Marines yeah yeah that's it
1:55:59
brilliant so I think you have a little uh uh yes letter or something yeah
1:56:06
hope you're enjoying these biscuits and they are awesome thank you very much uh
1:56:13
and cookies sort of maybe change the way I put that then I made these uh it's a thank you for the
1:56:21
great content you put out thank you for helping me get through 36 Gods oh all
1:56:26
the best Phil also known as brain Cellar uh who's on patreon thank you very much
1:56:33
hopefully they start a trend let's hope it does homemade biscuits and if they're as good as this one we're all behind we
1:56:39
were discussing we're talking 36 uh 20 goals or 36 Ibraham gaunts that's what we want to know so drop it in the
1:56:45
comments if you've got a conversar army yeah
1:56:51
yeah I uh I tried to open a P.O box last night actually but uh my all my cards
1:56:57
just kept getting declined so uh oh I don't know why I think Royal Mail was just I was like oh no I need to buy
1:57:03
someone something on Amazon to check and then that's why I bought loads of spray cans of pink uh and they work so Royal
1:57:10
Mail just hates us so yeah well we're gonna try and have a PO Box so people can send the stuff if they want enough
1:57:15
people have asked yes getting nice cookies yeah yeah yeah yeah
1:57:21
amazing right I think thank you very much yeah thank you it's been an absolute pleasure thanks for coming on man really enjoyed it yeah thank you all
1:57:27
the 15 minutes back on the plane yeah do you believe
1:57:32
yeah oh no I need to fly to another country five pounds please yeah thank you thank you thank you everyone for the
1:57:38
questions and for being lovely and uh after show and the shop continues to do well me too and hopefully we'll secure
1:57:43
on here at some point yeah I do we'll get her over it sometimes yeah that'd be cool more toilet paint guides please yes I know give us more videos we'll copy
1:57:49
you we'll copy your videos out okay other painting these in pill fists
1:57:54
soon that's that's the job oh yeah there we go yeah it's supposed to hooks right Slater's taters
